Ok, peeps, I need something from you. My devices need to charge, since they're practically dead right now. Hey! I’m happy to provide some basic info!

Gaster!sans and g!pap we’re originally created by tumblr user Borurou (also called Nat) who created the AU underpatch. Her friend Junkpileofstuff (aka junky) also helped formulate some later headcannon’s around the au, as well as had their own separate take on g! with lots of G art. While her blog is no longer around, if you Google Borurou you can see a lot of her art (and if you go back in my blog’s archives you can see much of it there too). Nat was planning a full comic explaining the story of G!sans but unfortunately it got cancelled.

Yoralim (the creator of Echotale) didn’t come until much later; I believe initially there was some controversy that later got settled (I think? I always stayed away from AU politics). I believe that Nat, Junky and Yoralim all do not want to discuss it further though, so I would advise against anyone reaching out to them about it.

I think the biggest difference is in Underpatch Frisk is a kid, not an adult, and the nature of relationship is very much platonic (if not parental). G!Sans has always been a sweet, hilarious little gremlin who drinks and smokes too much (and has a bit of a flirty side—which I think the early days of me RP!ing by this blog might have emphasized his flirty nature a bit more than Nat originally intended!)

Hopefully Nat wouldn’t mind (I created this blog and used her pics for reactions with permission—which I still hope continues now that she’s gone) if I post some of the (many) pieces of og Borurou G! art under the cut here. Gaster!sans will always be my favorite character, and I think it’s a shame more people haven’t seen him in his original glory!
