What Made Me Smile This Week:
Monday 1/21: I scheduled my next Spinraza injection today for early March. My energy and stamina have been feeling great lately, and that makes me smile.
Tuesday 1/22: Whenever I’m dipping something in soy sauce, I remind myself not to have too much because it makes me extremely thirsty. I never listen to my own cautions, though, and tonight was no different. If you need me, I’ll be outside searching for a fire hydrant to attach my mouth to. Soy sauce makes me smile.
Wednesday 1/23: Hannah’s mom got me AirPods for Christmas, and I had a serious jam session today, using them to listen to music while I worked. It made me smile. Thanks, Lizzie.
Thursday 1/24: It has been negative degrees outside pretty much all day, and my weather app is reporting that temperatures will be dropping to -33 next week. That feels like something that shouldn’t be allowed to exist. I live in a freezer, which only makes me smile because of how ridiculous it is.
Friday 1/25: Today was pretty wild! I’ve been sitting on this update for a while, but Hannah and I are going to be on the U.S. Today Show! They’re doing a segment on our interabled relationship, and it will air the week of Valentine’s Day! Spending the day filming with their crew today was so much fun. Spreading disability awareness makes me smile.
Saturday 1/26: A kind stranger anonymously paid for our meal while eating out in the Mall of America tonight! Thank you so much mysterious nice person! You made us smile.
Sunday 1/27: We forgot to get a cart while grocery shopping, so we strategically balanced 17 items on my wheelchair. This thrilling challenge made me smile.
