WIP Folder

Hello lovelies. I was tagged by @martsonmars, @captain-aralias, @urban-sith, @nightimedreamersworld and @wellbelesbian for the WIP Folder tag a couple of weeks ago, but as you might know I was chilling in Italy, eating pizza, battling mosquitos, enjoying the sea, and thinking about Rosemary Snow. But I am back home and here we are, better late than never.

I am chaotic and I do all my writing in two documents, appropriately called “drabbles and one shots” for Glee stuff and “non-glee drabbles and one shots”. Only when a fic becomes huge (like Paradiso series) it gets its own document in Word.

That’s a lot of WIPs!

I’m the sort of person who writes one fic at a time. As soon as @lilyvandersteen reviews a chapter, I’m committed to finish the story. I don’t want to waste her valuable time.

There has been one exception. I wrote a chapter of a fic called “The Psychology Study”. It features college roommates, fake relationship, secret crush, and enemies to lovers. When I drafted chapter two, I realized that it was going to be a long one with a slow build. I’ve written plenty of those so put it aside. One of these days I’ll figure out how to speed up the timeline.

I was tagged too, so let’s see …

First off - my WIPs are not in a folder. I’m not that organised, I’m afraid. They’re a bit here, there and everywhere, so let me dig them up and give you an overview.

1. Weave Your Magic: the one where Kurt is a designer and Blaine a teacher, super long and slow, and very much like a soap opera.

This one’s been a WIP since October 2014, can you believe it? But hey, I’ve been working on Never Saying Goodbye to You for nearly as long, and I’ve managed to complete that story after many many years, so I’ve got good hope that I’ll manage to finish WYM too. Someday. Fingers crossed.

2. Lavender’s Blue: the one where Blaine is king. A prompt from long ago, from a reverse bang with gorgeous art.

I’m stuck on that one, unfortunately :( Have been for a long time now. Maybe I bit off more than I can chew with that prompt.

3. Facing Your Dragons: my take on Badboy!Blaine and Skank!Kurt. They’re not really bad, just posing as such. They do volunteer work entertaining kids with a disability, that should tell you enough.

Also stuck on this one, because I can’t figure out how to continue the story and wrap it up in a satisfying way. My readers have come up with some good suggestions, though.

4. Vampire Blaine AU: I haven’t actually started writing this story, it’s just a collection of story ideas I could use for a Vampire Blaine AU, all scavenged from Tumblr.

5. Persuasion AU: I recently wrote a story with a Pride and Prejudice vibe, Out of the Blue, and it made me wonder how I would go about writing a Persuasion Klaine AU. I chatted with @lallagoglee about it, and jotted a few things down in a Word document. Haven’t done anything with it yet, though.

6. Kindle My Heart: the one where Kurt is a football player and coach. Very angsty. Shelved because apparently, all the football stuff is wrong and it needs major rewrites. @honeysucklepink kindly offered to beta the fic for all the football stuff, but I haven’t gotten round to rewriting it yet.

7. Pokemon Dog: this is one that I should have written in 2016 when the Pokemon Go hype was still fresh. Kurt & Mercedes & Santana working at an animal shelter, renting out their dogs to anyone playing Pokemon Go who wants to pretend they’re just walking their dog. And of course, Blaine and Sam show up.

8. Unique: this is an AU where Kurt and Mercedes are best friends who choose to have a child together, who grows up to be Unique.

9. Pens and Needles: Blaine is a paediatric surgeon, very well liked in his hospital by colleagues and patients alike.Kurt is a fashion journalist who writes crime novels in his free time. Sparks fly when they meet, but one of them has a rather big secret. How will the other react when they find out? Just an outline, I never actually got round to writing this.

10. Summer Nights: a Blamtina fic I once started. No idea where I was going with this.

11. Biting into a Cronut: a fic where Kurt gets assaulted in a subway station and Blaine comes to his aid.

12. Wishing and Waiting: a collection of oneshots in the Worth the Wait verse.

I think that’s everything. Quite a sizeable list already, and I have no idea when I’ll actually get down to writing/finishing these fics.

I living in WIPs right now, I'm in a procrastination state of mind.

I have a huge painting in my living room just 90% complete since April 2020. 🤣

I'm writing a little illustrated book for children, it was for my sister... my niece is almost 4months old and I made just the cover and the general draft. xD maybe next year....

My other sister this November will celebrate her 30th birthday and I making a photomontage with many ugly old pictures... I just made a folder but it's almost empty.

And I'm writing a roleplaying adventure (like D&D) thanks to Stranger Things I found new people who want to try but I never mastered all by myself (I was a co master a couple of times) and it's a huge commitment.

I'm sitting here in tears, and I'm stunned. I hope Chuck's family is embraced in love. And Darren's message is worth sharing and taking in. If you know anyone hurting, reach out.
