Every time some RB fanboy tries to dog on the VG I just show them this. 

VG30DETT and RB26DETT both tuned by the same company, using the same turbos, and same spec cams. The RB only makes 13 more horsepower than the VG but only makes 543ft/lbs of torque while the VG makes 743 horsepower and 865 ft/lbs of torque. The VG also makes this power and torque much earlier in the rev range too. 

But anyways..

You’re comparing a vg to an r32 rb that’s still running a bottom mount setup, no shit.

That’s not bottom mount turbo buddy. Hey if you could read youd see its the SAME TURBO. 

Same size turbos, made by the same company put on the two engines.

Have you even seen what a bottom mount R26 twin turbo setup looks like. 

C’mon man.

As a matter of fact yeah that’s still a bottom mount twin setup, are they aftermarket turbo and manifold? It appears so however they are still bottom mount. And you look really dumb posting that as reference pic saying “this is a bottom mount” when its literally identical in configuration.

And I’ve had several rb so yes I do know the difference between a top and bottom mount setup unlike yourself.

Now that that little predicament is cleared up I’d also like to add.

V configuration engines make more torque at low rpms so the “vg makes more torque and at lower rpms” is… well common sense. Not to mention it has a larger displacement by .4 which is also a major contribution to the difference in torque.

I’d also like to point out you’re arguing apples to oranges here.

A straight 6 vs. A v6 with a larger displacement and you’re ragging on the rb for making less torque. What did you expect Isaac Newton??

Is it really apples to oranges? They’d build the exact same way same head design, same style sensors and various other parts etc. 

Okay the whole point of the post was the displacement advantage but they clearly was too much for you to grasp. 

Okay lets make it fair, VG30 versus RB30 hybrid VG30 STILL makes more torque. 

Ok so I finally found the post that caused all my confusion. I was like there is no way Zach would make a mistake like that. TWICE?!? But yeah, sorry to say @s13forlife, the original pics were of a twin top setup. It’s ok if you had a little knee jerk reaction to what you thought you saw and read. Fact is my RB26DETT is pretty sad in the torque department and the transfer case doesn’t help matters. Now please attack at will my lack of knowledge and skill on engines or anything else for that matter. Cause, ya know, it really matters…

Torque can be completely disregarded in this comparison. It is mearly a function of horsepower and rpm. (If you want to argue the RB is displaying a better VE, and hence a more efficient engine or bigger cam 😉) The fact that both engines make the same power is demonstrating the power potential of the turbos. eg the tunner had maximised the turbos potential on both engines. And posting the results together is flexing. (Aka if you put those on your car and don’t make that much power you don’t know what your doing)
