Lyall Drabble - Pleading

Lyall had never felt so desperate…. “Please, p-please you don’t u-u-understand. I will have the money, by tomorrow night I swear—” “Sir, you can’t move into a house without a deposit for the first months rent.” "A-And I can give you the first four months upfront, but I need to be in a house, t-tonight.” "And why’s that?” “Because my wife and my son will have nowhere to go, it’s important, please he’s only s-six….” “Your boy?” “Yes, yes he’s six, and we just want to move in, i-I swear, we will never ask for any help with the taps, or anything, we don’t care what it looks like, or if it’s not been cleaned, just…just a-anywhere…” "Alright, alright, but if I don’t have the money by the end of tomorrow, you’re out.” Lyall squeezed the woman’s hard, and just like that, the wiry man run off into the night towards the old volkswagon camper they’d been sleeping in for the last three nights.  They had needed a room for full moon, and they’d finally found one.
