sometimes I think about when Kate's all "he doesn't love me mama" and laugh because Mary's such a good mom in that moment to NOT be like "girl... the dr. had to tell him to fuck off and it wasn't even his house?"

Anthony Bridgerton is the youngest test pilot to make it out of Astronaut Candidate Training in a generation, and now the youngest Naval Commander in a generation. He has no want of a personal life beyond his siblings' happiness. There'd be no point as he's always known he will die on a mission, leaving his family behind, just like his father. He doesn't make plans for the future beyond getting man to Mars, nor any real connections with people. Until he meets Kate Sharma and finds he can't help himself.
Kathani Sharma is mostly a washout. Her father had meant for her to become NASA Administrator, but she'd never really applied herself to the science, at least not like her sister. She'd always really been drawn to flying, and had only applied to the Air Force Academy because it was technically free. She's only started training as an astronaut (almost a decade after she probably should have) in some last ditch effort to fulfill her father's dreams. She has no plans to actually make a name for herself or be named to a space mission. Until she meets Anthony Bridgerton and resolves to prove him wrong out of spite.

Has anyone written the fic where Kate goes back to India after the gazebo and at some point (I don't remember book timeline exactly--3 years later??) she meets Michael Stirling, who is avoiding his own Bridgerton?
Maybe Dorset shows up occasionally? Idk? But basically she finally gets up the courage to ask about Anthony's *wife* and Michael's all, with no sense of irony about his own behavior: "🤣 that insufferable lout's vowed he's never marrying. Between you, me, and Fran she thinks some girl broke his heart"

Kate: well my sister did leave him at the altar? (conveniently leaving out the 🐝💍💋)
Michael: 🤯
And Michael waits an entire day before posting a letter to whosoever feels plot appropriate like uhhh I think I met why Anthony is miserable and whoever's all you've found Kate?!
Have Michael write to John and John shows the letter to Fran and Fran, who is the holder of the Bridgerton Braincell, is like “right, ok, now we can fix this.”
