Iron Wig 2016 - Round 2

My second entry for the Iron Wig contest! We had to make a pouf updo a la Marie Antoinette. These hairstyles reminded me of ice-creams and the pink color of the provided wig really suited this idea. That’s why I decided to make the wig into a huge strawberry ice-cream swirl with a cherry on top. And because it’s an ice-cream, it’s melting on one side wink-emoticon

Visual sensory/stim toy: the ocean bottle.

I made this today and I am in love! It is just water, blue water based food colour, and canola oil in a glass bottle. If you fill it right up to the brim, the wave moves in a slow and hypnotic fashion.

For the first few hours of playing with it, the oil was clear, however after some serious shaking it has turned a semi-translucent sand colour which just adds even more to the beachy look.

Words can’t describe how beautiful this bottle looks with an LED light shining into the bottom of it.

I feel like making miniature versions of these and hanging them on necklaces for those of us who could really use a very calming visual stim while out and about!
