FALLEN ANGEL - STEREK AU ↳ Derek
Derek had never been a religious man, mainly because of his unanswered prayers after his while family was murdered. But that was before an angel broke out of Heaven and fell to stand by him against the horde of demons.
With Stiles, Derek doesn’t feel so alone anymore. He feels stronger than ever before. ‘Cause despite Derek’s lack of faith or belief, Stiles believe in him. Puts his trust in him, counts on him, and Derek can’t help but to do the same in return.
“I don’t … need you to offer anything.” Derek grunted and grabbed him again when he stumbled away, holding him against his side. “Not much longer, then you can hurt yourself all you want.” He said gruffly.
“I helped you because a dead priest on my doorstep would’ve ended in ANOTHER family member set on fire for no reason.” Derek growled, shrugging. “Not because I thought it’d be the right thing.” At least he didn’t want the other to think it had been like that.
“I didn’t say you needed. I said I wanted. So you should maybe think about why you’re turning me down. Is it out of some stupid pride? Because if I can let myself be helped by you, when I should be terrified of you, or… or try to save you, then why can’t you damn well accept a few items that might make your blasted life easier?” He tried to shove him off, not wanting contact at all, now.
His blue eyes flashed with hurt, then. “Really. You think that if I went missing, when there’s things like those monsters out there, that suddenly you’d wind up dead? What the hell has your family done that you think the first response would be to chase you? And… and… even if you did do it out of self-preservation, the Christian way is to help everyone. No matter what they believe. You help them because it is good, and right. Not because you owe them something.”
"Well yes, but I don't need help. Nor do I want it." It wasn't that hard to understand, was it? "Damn right you should be terrified." The younger male hissed, glowering full-on eyebrows knitted mode. "Never needed help and definitely won't start now." Another low growl.
"Your people don't know of any monsters out in the woods. They know of Pagans and they think they know we're dangerous and working with the devil." How could the priest be so blind? "Nobody in the woods escapes to talk about what creatures live there. It's always the Pagans if anybody goes missing." Even if all they ever did was help. Or try to help. His mother had been a good person, she didn't deserve to die like that.
"My family didn't do ANYTHING. All we ever did was help, but we're different. That's our crime." He let go of the other. They were close enough to the church for him to yell for help or whatever. He was done. "Go back to your church and your people, but remember: You tell them where I took you, it's you who's responsible for my death." His last words before he walked away.
“I didn’t say you needed it. I offered it. Because… can you not just accept that someone wants to offer you something?” He sounded exasperated, trying to pull away from him to stand free (mistake).
“I just wanted to be kind. But apparently you don’t want my kindness. Which is rich, considering you’ve done nothing but help me. I’m not a monster, you know. We can be civil, can’t we?”
“I don’t ... need you to offer anything.” Derek grunted and grabbed him again when he stumbled away, holding him against his side.

“ You smell nice. “ A young woman shouted from above, eyes leering down from her position within the high branches.
“..uh, thanks?” Derek stopped right where he was, eyes roaming the woods before he found the other wolf up in the tree.
