Sami Khedira confirms he will leave Real Madrid in the summer. Khedira: “It’s not a decision against Real Madrid. I just want to find a new stimulus for my career and to keep growing. There is no agreement with anyone yet, on either side. I spent a magnificent time here with a bunch of tremendous players. I will continue to keep offering what I can to help the team over the coming weeks.”

Real Madrid will play 10 crucial matches in their fight to win the La Liga title. - Ancelotti’s players recorded an excellent end to the first half of the season against their ten upcoming opponents by registering nine wins and just one defeat. The majority of the points that are up for grabs will be contested in Madrid’s home ground, where six games will be played. As well as welcoming Granada (April 5th), the team will also take on Eibar, Málaga, Almería, Valencia and Getafe, on the last matchday of the league campaign. The Real Madrid players head into the business end of the season as the highest scoring away side and have notched up ten victories on the road. Their next trip will be on Wednesday, April 8th to Rayo Vallecano’s stadium (10pm CET). Their other away fixtures take them to Celta, Sevilla and Espanyol.

I always go with Iker. We always talk about the game. We look at everything in a balanced way and we try to analyse things. I am the first and Iker is the same. We didn’t discuss anything specific. If there are two guys always encouraging the rest it is me and Iker because we are the captains.

Kaka’s interview with Daily Mail | March 23, 2015 "I definitely think so [C.Ronaldo is a more complete player than Messi]. It was great having him as a team-mate. I learnt a lot of things from him, every day I stuck with him and saw how he trained, how he played. It helped me a lot. We had a great relationship off the pitch in Spain. We still have a very good one. I’m so happy that he could win the Ballon d’Or at Real Madrid. He really deserved that. He is a special player.” -Kaka picks up his best XI: (4-3-3) Dida; R. Carlos, Maldini, Nesta, Cafu; Zidane, Pirlo, Iniesta; Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, C.Ronaldo

Ramos’ interview in El Larguero | 24.03.2015 Criticism  “I respect everyone. I have lived with criticism and that has made me stronger and made me keep on improving. Whether or not the current favours, Mourinho, I don’t care who the critic is.”  Media’s focus on the captains, Bale and Ancelotti “We are there because we are the biggest representatives of the team. They need faces who they can blame but we need to have broad shoulders. We need to let people see that when we go through difficult periods, we respond.” Contract renewal  “I have not called the club to ask for a renewal. I have two years left on my current deal, I am very happy and I have not made a call for a new deal. They are not rushing because I do not see myself in a shirt other than that of Real Madrid” El Clásico  “A defeat is always bad but you can take some good things out of it. On Sunday we lost but we left with our heads held high because we played some good football. From memory, the first half was a great one. We couldn’t kill the game and it was costly at the end. When they scored the second goal we were not the same.” Do you read the papers? “Not much. Sometimes I read El País, El Mundo, Marca and AS to know the opinions of some of your colleagues. It doesn’t have an impact on me though. I don’t get bogged down by criticism or get big-headed with praise. It is impossible to please everyone. We are exposed to opinions as professionals and we must respect them sometimes.” The incident at Valdebebas “We saw two or three fans at the gate. We saw what they were doing. We went after Jesé. Apparently they had a few pints. They caught me behind Jesé and I started to hoot at Jesé so he doesn’t stop and heat things up because I know him. I asked them what the problem was and I said that it wasn’t justified (their attitude).” Is the Bernabéu being too demanding? “I’ll speak for myself. The level of demand from this institution, the public has always been critical when we have not been at the level that we should be. There are players who have expressed their discomfort at this because they have not noticed the love but when your fans demand more it is because they think you can give more. You have to live with it. They must be respected whether you like it or not. Their love is very important.” [read more]
