Mannn Oda’s REALLY good at introducing characters I automatically dislike but then end up falling in love with later. Like Bege. I was so mad at him for hurting Pekoms and taking Sanji but now I’m like. LOVE THAT GUY. He’s a mafia boss he’s ruthless and will shoot his own comrades if necessary he’s an expert in backstabbing and is notorious for murder but he’s also SUCH a loyal husband, he loves his wife SO much and he loves his baby boy SO much and would move mountains for them. He ends up getting drawn into the utter chaos that surrounds the Strawhats and despite every aspect of his character that says otherwise he ends up believing in them and what they can do. One minute he’s threatening to shoot someone in the head and the next he’s baby talking to his son and cooing over him. The DUALITY OF MAN

My favorite one piece dynamic is how Ace went from being the annoying older brother making fun of his baby brother for being a crybaby to basically this:

mouths to the other straw hats when luffy isn’t looking: i won’t hesitate to sacrifice any of you for my brother

the straw hats, knowing they would sacrifice themselves for luffy either way: yeah fair

People will talk about Tumblr's amazing hatemail game but its person to person reply game is equally unhinged.

i get that people are more comfortable with defined rules and structure but i also think queer people lost when they started resorting to dictionary definitions for what labels mean

the queer umbrella is meant to deviate from the norm of rigid boxes and definitions and to decide that lesbian means Only this, bi means Only this, etc, is directly contradicting what queer means. each and every label is going to have a unique meaning to the person using it and that is how it's supposed to be. if you're not comfortable with that...sorry?

basically if someone tries to tell you you're using a label wrong:

sometimes, i think about one piece. and then i think about Nika. and then I think about how Oda must be cracking the fuck up every time he draws that new character (cuz u can't tell me Nika isn't his own character at this point because it ain't just Luffy on mega-crack) and wonder how much farther things are gonna go before the kids find the goddamn one piece, and if the dude's straight up gonna one shot assholes one punch man style by the time the manga is done. either way, it's fucking hilarious, man.
