Tessa leaves her adopted Orc infant in Kelliann's care for a few hours. All the items she would need are left with, how does Kelliann do?

Avatar

Kelliann walked in with Karkah in her arms while trying to soothe her own daughter from falling. Sadly, this just made a chain reaction for Tessa’s child to wail out. “ No, no.” she whispered, using her foot to rock the infant. However, that only made Karkah get jealous and swat and pull at Kelliann’s hair. “ No, Princess, shh...” she mused, rocking the two the best she could, of course, Cale came into the office to see the display of chaos and leave silently. Without a doubt Kelliann plotted her sisters demise before seeing a flash of her son.

“Nope.” Cale said, fighting to sneak off.

“ Cale! Get in here.” Kelli boomed out.

“ Damn...” Cale muttered, walking back to the office to help with a pout.

My inbox is full of anons and readers that are very confused, upset and trying to find the need to protect me about the subject of ‘Kurel’. I am flattered. I feel the love, guys. I do. If you have questions, neat. People have the right to them. However, I don’t have the answers and I would think you would ask the person in question if you desire closure that badly.

Still, let’s not make this into a lynch mob on social media. Ask your questions like an adult and move on. If they are not answered- I am sorry in advance.

All I can say is choose to keep enjoying the stories as they come from both writers or delete the writers. * I include myself in this * Because I don’t need standing up for, protected or spoken for. I am fully able to do that myself and would appreciate if all questions that have to do with Kurel and the story to be stopped; because as stated I’ve no idea what happened.

Thanks to all my readers and fans.

Much love

How can you just be 'okay' with being dropped? That's stupid, Kelliann. You were a huge element in the story.

I never stated I was ‘okay’ with it or that it didn’t bother me. I just don’t see the point in allowing my emotions to guide my words or bash Kurel as a person. It happened, okay. I will say I am sorry to our past fans and readers that are very confused or upset.

Cheers!

Why aren't the Mermaids in the story line with Kurel and his crew? As a reader I feel there is a huge gap in the story and things don't add up. You two seemed very close. What happened?

Good evening, Anon.

I would love to answer your question! Sadly, I can’t. Because I am not sure what happened in all honesty. There was no hostile words, drama issues or ending of story and/or friendship on a IC level or OOC. It just stopped one day without word. That being said: Kurel has a right to rp or have a comeback as the player sees fit. However, this question should be asked to Kurel if you desire it answered. Cause I ain’t got it.

Cheers!

What if Kurel found out Caemris killed off his former loves and mailed him each of their fingers? It could happen you know.

Saudria An’Diel:  Sister. Lover. Once Queen of The Black Mirage. While Vishak took delight in misusing his bastard son and feeding him to the arenas of his proud desert city, Saudria took pity on Kurel. When the world treated him like an animal, she was there secreting rations away to keep him strong and comfort him in the darkest period of his young life. Decades turned and all he fought, he fought for her. Until the lecherous nature of all the An’Diel sons drove a wedge of jealousy between them. Saudria pledged to marry an outsider, one born not within the protective walls and would see him rule by her side over Kurel. So Kurel plotted with the rogue bronze drake Archerous to take Saudria’s betrothed and deposit him somewhere in the veils of time. One war and two decades of slavery that cost Kurel more than just his vision, he was rescued and returned to his beloved city in the sands and into the loving embrace of his sister once more. However, his debt to Archerous was still unpaid and Saudria would learn of Kurel’s double crossing twenty years ago. Saudria knew banishing him from The Mirage and Tanaris was a greater punishment than any death she could sentence him to.  Betrayed by love and by family, Kurel was thrust into the outer world without any knowledge of it.

If Caemris sent her finger neatly packaged in a box, the question would be ‘How’? Archerous had taken her, had he now brought her back? Returned her to the present day? What would she do? Work with the warlock against him? Killing their brother Vekryn was necessary to maintain dominion over their desert sect… but even after all the agony, could he run his sword through his sister? Even after all these years. All the bad blood between them.

Alyadria Sunvein:  High Priestess of Belore and former leader of the Hand of Belore Order. She was unlike anything he’d ever encountered in his life. He was born of chaos and shadow and she was the opposite, born of tragedy and light. She was the power of the sun embodied and every time she touched him it burned his flesh. For reasons Kurel can never explain, in his infinite field of black that he peered into, her light lit up his darkness like the brightest stars in the night. When she summoned her magic, he beheld a splendor of beauty before him unlike he’d ever known or would ever know again. The first thing that he could see since his sight had been taken. For years he served her as protector and confidant, carrying out her will, and giving his all to be something that she would desire. For all his efforts, they were not wasted and by some grace of fortune she grew to love him. Shadow demands the balance of Light and vice versa. Between them something happened, the priestess’ light fused to the warrior’s core of darkness and they became inseparable. Or so was want to be believed.

To this day Kurel has no idea where Alyadria left to. Assured by his brother Zelphryin, she parted of her own volition and was not taken. Kurel resisted the urge to pursue her and when he came to terms that he was no longer the Harbinger of Belore, no longer the guardian of the High Priestess, or wanted by her, Kurel followed Mirage tradition and severed his left ring finger from his hand. The bond between them was shattered in that moment and the agony of always feeling her miles from him, faded.

If Caemris sent the finger of Alyadria Sunvein to Kurel. It would not be a simple death sentence. Kurel would move hell and heaven to erase Caemris from ever having existed.

Sands to glass.

Kelliann Morningshield: Purveyor of Siren’s Bounty. Captain of the Mermaid’s Song. How better to move on from the love of your life, to a teenage old flame and one so very incompatible.  Kelliann Morningshield gave him every tool he needed to survive in the sea trade. More than that, she sought to restore him as the desert marauder, the faceless monster that had once been feared among so many clans from The Great Sea to the mountain edges of Silithis. The Kurel seen today is the Kurel she sculpted from the ashes of all that had come before her. She empowered him by feeding the tyrannical nature and in doing that, was perhaps their ultimate downfall. Mother of his only known child, her desire to return to the desert and raise their offspring in the ways and traditions of their homelands conflicted only because of their warring clans. Even at the docks of Sunspire, between them they embodied the centuries long feud between the shadows of The Mirage and the Sun power of the Snakes.

He would not go. She would not concede to let their daughter be raised in the way of the Mirage and took the infant to Uldum and her Sun worshiping Snake people.

If Caemris sent the finger of Kelliann Morningshield to him in a decorative box, his reaction would be quite simple. There is no place in the desert for the weak.

[You are such an asshole, but thanks for the prompt. Kurel’s love life paraphrased.  @thecaemrisheartreaver]

Kelliann was handed bad news. Thus making the half-breed make the walk back to see Kael. Oh yes, she was dreading it every step she took towards the cursed town. Still, the item was paid for- Over paid really to avoid issues or not wishing to hear his input on her moral code. Who knows! She entered and awaited on the fountain or at least hear news of his location; if need be, she'll stay in this town for a day to track him down. " Goddess sake."

It wouldn’t be difficult for Kelliann to find the answer to her question: Where is Kaelenar? The locals of Darkshire, namely the Nightwatch, knew that the half elf, the night elf, and human of the Coalition were supposed to be confined to the infirmary on The Lady Sunshield’s orders.

The half elven woman would be permitted entry into the ward where the three stayed and find Ghost sitting up in a bed, fingering the black leather blind fold in his lap, staring at it in deep contemplation. He’d heard Kelliann come in- the place wasn’t that large nor the walls that thick - and so after a moment, he looked up, scowled and then motioned to the closed and locked briefcase on the floor in the corner on the side of his cot between the mattress and the wall.

“I thought I wouldn’t have to see you for at least another few days.” He muttered in a gruff tone.

Avatar

Walked into the medical bay and looked around. The sound of a gruff tone caught her attention, first. “ Trust me, ” she started moving towards his resting area looking to where he gestured before she continued, “ I did not wish to bother you sooner than planned. Sadly, things don’t always work out like that.” she said looking back hearing footsteps behind her.

In came her son Cale. The child Kael always heard of grew over the years into a foal-limbed, awkward adolescence and then through to young manhood. The boy was much taller than his mother and his blonde hair cut to the style of their tribe, though, he wore mage like robes and he looked onto the man his mother was speaking to. He was her escort- only to put his own fear if he left her side she would vanish again. “ Mother,” he said in a hushed tone, didn’t wish to sneak up on the pair talking or interrupt.

With the small whisper of being called mother, Kelliann turned, smiled and pointed to Kael. “ This is Kaelenar, Cale,” she said simply at the start and took a breath. “ You’ve heard me speak of him when you saw me again.” is all she would say to not bring up past memories further. “ Kaelenar, this is my son Cale.” was the ending statement clasping her hands before her and looked between the two.

“ Good to meet you, Sir, I’ve heard a lot of good things about you.” Cale said, bowing his head in respect to the wounded rogue. “ I hope your recovery is swift, too.”

Kael arched a brow at the young fair haired man that entered behind Kelliann and it was soon joined by the other brow as the introductions were made. “Well here’s your first hard life lesson, kid. Your mama is a dirty liar.” He said seriously, knowing that as with any boy who loves their mother, it would earn a negative reaction. Kael’s attention went back to the boy’s mother.

“You’re lucky I’ve had time to get it done early if you’re here for it already. Now if you don’t mind, since pay has already been settled, I’m tired, so get your shit and get out.” A smile that did not reach his luminous blue eyes spread across his pale, haggard features.

Of course! Kelliann did see this reaction coming, hell, she even attempted to prepare her son for such things. Sadly, nothing can stop a boy who loves their mother, no. A loyal bond is with kinship and family.

“ You speak ill of my mother and it shall be the last thing you utter on this mortal plane,” Cale snapped, stepping forward as he was stopped once Kelli stepped in front of him and looked down to his mother’s eyes.

“ Cale,” she spoke her son’s name and pointed towards the door. “ If you could please give a moment to wrap up business.” she asked only to see the young boy riled further- “ But he spoke ill of you-.” Kelli’s hand rises to stop his ranting and hopefully contain the boys foul temper he got from her. Karma. “ I do lie, Cale, now please,” she says.

The boy growled at her to show his frustrations. She should never mark herself low or a liar to a bastard such as this. “ Fine.” he snapped, turning on a heel and left the recovery bay swiftly. “ I will be outside waiting, Mother, and may your wounds get gout you jackal of a cowardice bastard. ” he spat over his shoulder towards Kael.

Kelliann remained in the room to watch him depart. “ I did try to warn him about you, though, interesting enough he has sense to not insult a wounded man, ” she said looking towards Kael, “ Alas, the wounded man lacks the sense to not make foes when wounded. ” she eyed his fake smile and stared him down. “ For twenty thousand gold, Kael, if I wanted you to build the thing with toddler tools you would have. You aren’t a complicated man to figure out.” moving towards the case to lift it up, sighing. “ I would say breathe in the fresh air of life, Kael, though I know that is quite difficult for you.” @kaelenar

Kael watched the outburst and the following exchange between mother and son with a good amount of amused interest, but he flung no further insults until the boy left the room - he didn’t want to risk breaking open tender new scars just to put Cale in his place.  “You would be surprised by the things I would refuse to do, even for twenty-thousand.  Like being polite to a pretentious bitch and her brat.  You didn’t pay for niceties, you paid for that.” Kael said motioning again to the briefcase. “Now take it, and leave, before I decide it’s worth the effort to dig up what exactly it’s for and screw you over in a far less pleasant way than when I was last in your bed.”

Kelliann rolled her eyes and hefted the case up to carry out. “ I don’t recall what I did to deserve such a bark,” she stated plainly and looked over to him after he mentions the time they spend together. Picking at old scars? That is even low for him and it made her heart sink.

“ Is it because I didn’t pick you the night in your workshop?” she asked, shaking her head as soon as she uttered the words. Regret. She recalled the bench crashing into the hanger door and the hurt sound in his voice after her goodbye.

“ I am sorry -we- fell in love, okay. I am sorry I allowed us to drift in this fantasy of happy endings way to long!” she said moving towards the door to only stop, “ Also! Even if I did pick you, then! Would you have even became the man I needed and not hate being there? Could you have -really- loved me that much?” she sapped her questions at him with tears in her eyes.

“Still, if you wish to see my destruction, Kael, recover and come find me. At least have the balls to end me yourself instead of riling up the attention of other goons- Unless you planning on watching from the shadows and hope it will fill some void I made! Neat! We all have our sad little hobbies, right?” That was her ending statement and she left him to stew. Is that dangerous? Maybe! But she was never shy about shooting off her mouth and she got the bomb.

Cale was about to scold her until he saw the tears in her eyes and the pace she was moving in. “ Mom?” he questioned, looking back to the ward and forward choosing to put his attentions on her. “ Slow down!”

Kelliann is a business woman and dresses for the job. You can’t make deals and sell goods if you look like something that just crawled out of a seven week binge. However, pirates don’t really care what you wear; as long as you have the coin for their goods. Nothing wrong in being fashionable, right?
