kishimoto literally said in an interview that neji died as a cupid for naruhina, not that it’s not clear enough by the manga, but the creator said that himself. how can anyone take his death seriously? and when you look at the writing it’s just clownery after clownery.

as this post says, you have the wooden spears being fired, enough time for not one, but two people to jump in front of the attack, but not enough time to use a jutsu to break them, nor to push who’s getting attacked, and the spears aren’t even powerful enough to impale multiple people, just one. so neji, a jounin, end up taking the shot.

and then neji starts his final words with this:

it seems that he is trying to push hinata to naruto, which makes no sense of his character to do that. of course he continues with this:

and that makes a bit more of sense considering that if hinata’s life is at risk, it means his is as well, because, you know, he is her slave and must do that. but still, neji and naruto’s relationship has never been about hinata, it’s out of character of neji to do that, in his final moments above all.

neji isn’t dying for naruto, he isn’t dying for his comrade, the wooden spike would only kill hinata, neji is dying for her, it makes no sense of him to say this either, they tried to push this idea that neji was dying for naruto because “he was called a genius” but i can’t buy any of that when it just looks like he was used as a cupid (and confirmed by kishi after).

and then what happens after obito mocks neji’s death? hinata says this:

pushing some guilt trippy will of fire discourse onto him, and not only that, but the content itself sounds similar to naruto’s speech to his dark self only to repress it, that he needs to be the man, the hero, people expect him to be, which we know it’s bullshit, another part of the story that doesn’t look like it’s taken seriously by kishimoto either.

(would also like to comment about hinata saying “what inspired neji and carried him this far were those very principles” because they are again trying to mask how neji died for hinata as her slave, sweeping things under the rug much).

hinata’s speech to him, which is complemented by kurama for some reason (why is everybody out of character in this moment oh my god), isn’t even that romantic if you look at it, it has a lot of “will of fire” content, and it makes waterfall of truth and boruto (and naruhina consequently) even more ironic and goofy imo. incredible how the parts of naruto’s character going wrong at the ending are all tied to boruto huh.

and if you look at naruto holding hinata’s hand… it’s still not shippy on naruto’s side… he had just thought about everybody “who’s been on his side” (those people… wtf really), and says it’s because of all of those people, not just hinata. even after all this bullshit, naruto can’t genuinely reciprocate her lol.

just can’t wrap my head around how unserious this entire moment is, how damaging it is to the ending and naruto’s character, how it was set up only to push for the cash cow that is boruto, the level gets so low when the own writer doesn’t care about the writing.

If Hinata was either never a part of Naruto's life, or if she died during any of those aforementioned pivotal moments, Naruto would never have become the person he is today. If Hinata was never there to save him with either her words or her actions, Naruto would never have achieved his lifelong dream of being publicly acknowledged by everyone.

Hell, we even saw what happened the one time Hinata did stop being in Naruto's life (temporarily): he lost the will to live, he gave up on his high-rank mission, and he wanted to let the world crash and burn and die along with it.

People like this make my laugh so much, they know that Hinata is just a side character and you know it because you turn the comments off so people can't tell you how wrong you are. But luckily reblog is always there 🥰

First of all, it's not "alleged", she just is a side character and your 3 points (that are wrong) are not gonna change the fact that Hinata was in like 10-20% of manga and even when she was there she was purely side character with her whole purpose being Naruto and herself.

Second of all, you seem to misunderstand what "heroine" means, you can always Google it, but I did it for you:

1) So Hinata is not admired for her courage, she has no achievements and no noble qualities.

She loses all her battles, never achieved anything more than other hyugas (exept for her sad excuse of a "jutsu" that has never did any significant damage) and is just selfish and rude to everyone who is not herself or Naruto.

2) She was barely there in manga so she wasn't a "chief", she has all awfull qualities like selfishness and rudness and who can sympathize with her exept for selfish people?

I couldn't sympathize with a person who has no regard to other people, unless they are a crush of said person.

3) 3rd one is irrelevant because they all have superhuman qualities so it doesn't apply to that specific universe.

Now to the "arguments" part:

1) Naruto who wanted to prove to whole village that he is not a failure? That same Naruto that was set on fighting Neji because Naruto believed that weak person can win with a genius just by trying? The same Naruto that never goes back on his word and already said that he would win with Neji?

The same Naruto that charged at a incredible junnin just to get his forehead protector back? He would be "scared" of a genin and give up?

This Naruto???? Seriously? 😂

2) I already made a post about it here, but someone seriously thinks that Naruto losing himself and allowing Kurama to take over and destroy the village, because of Hinatas selfishness is a "good deed" on her part? She ruined Naruto and made Minato pick the pieces, but it's her "achievement"???? Come on.

3) Naruto is Naruto and he literally defeated his "dark side" on his own to bond with Kurama.

So saying that without Hinata, Naruto would "turn evil" is stupid and shows absolute misunderstanding of Naruto both as a character and as a series.

4) being a love interest of MC doesn't mean that she is important to the story, it only means that she is a love interest of MC and that's it.

5) it's funny because you speak about "certain someone" that KISHIMOTO DID MAKE A HEROINE. Every character has a purpose, so the reason a person was made is irrelevant, the only relevant thing is the thing that those characters did in manga.

You can be mad all you want, but Hinata is just a side character and "certain someone" is a real heroine made by Kismoto to be a heroine.

So at the end of the day, drink your own salty tears, because you seem to have a lot of them inside you 🤷‍♀️
