the next time Louis sings just like you he’ll be 26 but watch him still sing it as “25 and it’s all planned”

Some of you act like its the first time they fuck up like this especially when Harry is involved. Also he is a 23yo professional not a 3yo that cant read and he has the ability to discuss content and speak up. He did his job but they could have thought and done better. I know its Ben Winston and his team (and James Corden) we are talking about so I dont expect anything more than gross jokes you would hear in a bar but stop treating Harry like he is an innocent baby victim of the events. If this was Liam, Niall or (god forbid!) Louis, I would be reading 34page-long masterposts about how nasty and gross they are for what they said.

People were writing 92491926390 posts for something that someone else wrote on Louis’ account and that wasn’t even half as bad as what Harry did and yet those people are defending Harry because “he just said out loud what other people wrote”. They keep showing their true colours.

Exactly. People and anons are ridiculous.

That "joke" was very unnecessary when will Hollywood learn that jokes about sexual harassment/pedophilia/ sexual predators is not fucking funny

the writers that james corden works with and james corden himself seriously need to just…….fucking do better. this is officially a pattern. the gross joke on aloto last summer where james and niall laughed about who out of the boys niall would trust alone in a room with his naked girlfriend (thereby implying that men can’t stop themselves from sexually assaulting a naked woman), the jokes about kendall during late late styles back in may, the weinstein jokes at that event a month or so ago, and now this……and this is just some of the stuff i’ve paid attention to because it related to the members of one direction or it was high profile and made the news, so i know there must be a ton more out there. hire some female writers and teach your male writers how to write jokes that are funny without being nasty or degrading - i know it’s possible because i’ve watched some other late night hosts do it. by putting harry on the show, they’re encouraging his largely young female fanbase to watch, and then they have him go out there with a joke about a literal child predator trying to get into his concerts to prey on his young female fans…. like am i supposed to just be like “lololol so cute and funny????” no thanks.

Louis is coming off really poorly in this. I feel like he should tweet something like: would never condone or encourage threatening behavior. If you speak your mind, do so responsibly, etc. And maybe add a little jab that calls attention to the intro (which people keep reducing to facial hair) : as the least popular member of 1D, didn’t realize how much influence I had... will be more careful in the future...

Ha, anon. That would mean some kind of damage control. When damage is precisely what his team is after. And even if he did, the damage is already done. He’d still come off as impulsive and rude, at the least.

And I too find it frustrating that it’s being reduced to the comment about his facial hair, when the issue is the whole derogatory introduction which was made up of an insulting commentary on his appearance to “describe him” in order to identify him to one of the hosts—which already has demeaning implications—and outright belittling, saying he’s “not Harry Styles” and the least popular member. It’s mind blowing that any show would introduce their guest like that. For the record, she didn’t even say the name of his new single after she played it.

In what world is that normal, and excusable? And what team looking out for their client would allow it? Or wouldn’t reach out to Ash London and co. once the fans’ reaction became clear—#LouisDeservesBetter was trending worldwide for at least a couple of hours, wasn’t it?—And find the best way to resolve it in both their interests? Would the radio station and the others siding with her have responded with such vitriol and complete lack of apology if it were anyone other than Louis, who has no public support and is the target of powerful players in the industry?

So, anon. I believe that his team is responsible for this situation, from start to finish, directly and indirectly. What @ Louis does or doesn’t do is up to them, and I’m afraid that this will continue to be whatever is most damaging to Louis, short or long term.
