Matsu Relationship Headcannon

Osomatsu-:. Although he may initially come off  as strong and pushy, you'll quickly find out that  he is almost all bark, no bite.  There is a certain charm to his  honesty and seeming disregard to society's opinion.(less so however for his laziness..) Surprisingly, the eldest can be empathetic and good at talking through concerns, he did play eldest to five younger siblings after all. You can count on this man to  always be there with a smile and a dirty joke when you need it most.  He can be kind of clingy, but that's just because he doesn't want to let go. Osomatsu seamlessly fits both roles as a partner and best friend. He is someone you can talk shit with, and who knows you can't take life too seriously. Having Osomatsu as a partner means having someone who is willing to change for you , and will be that partner in crime who always has your back.

Karamatsu-

 Flashy and over the top, it may be hard to see through and appreciate the man underneath. An undeniable narcissist,  yet  it doesn't mean he doesn't have enough love to go around for you.  When he does finally tone down all the glitz and glamour, you can count on him to be a partner that will support you no matter how serious or ridiculous the situation (this is a man knows a thing or two about the latter after all). Dating Karamatsu is a roller coaster of serene nights spent  talking under the stars and high energy passion. Sure, his singing and guitar skills aren't great, but it's the thought behind the gesture that counts.  Emotional, with an infectious aura of confidence that will bolster your own, Karamatsu is the type of partner who will do practically do anything to see your smile and ensure your happiness.

Choromatsu-

The straight man who isn't really all that straight. He's a bit anxious and may be high strung at occasions, but it also makes him extremely emphatic! Dealing with his own form of anxiety he'll know straight away when you are feeling low, and will be there in a flash with a cup of tea as he offers an ear to listen, a shoulder to lean on, a comforting hug, or basically whatever it takes to make you feel better. His desire for orderliness and planning means his gestures will be exceptionally thoughtful. Dating Choromatsu is leisurely strolling together, and  finding joy in one another's presence. It's enthusiastic sharing and nerding out over one another's hobbies, accepting that "yes, it's okay to not fit society's mold". With Choromatsu as a partner, you'll have a conscientious lover that will always be there for you through thick and thin.

Ichimatsu-

A man whose trust is initially hard to win, but  stay long enough and you'll come to see what other's might have overlooked.  He is perceptive and thoughtful, and  like Choromatsu, he too has his fair share of anxieties.  When you are down he will be there to weather the storm together,  never leaving your side, and listening wordlessly the entire time. His affection is expressed almost entirely in actions: introducing you to his beloved cats(a big sign of his trust), baking together, and other low energy activities where one can simply enjoy each other's presence. Dating Ichimatsu is enjoying the simple things, and a feeling of mutual trust. It's understanding one another that goes beyond words, almost telepathic. Having Ichimatsu as a partner means knowing you will have someone that you weather the storm of the world together, even when everything is against you.

Jyushimatsu

Oh boy. With Jyushimatsu as a partner there will hardly be a dull moment. It can be chaotic, and hard to get used to , but he would never do anything to harm you. Quite the opposite actually. Whether it be physical or emotional dangers, Jyushimatsu will not let  harm befall you, whether he has to fight it off with his trademark bat or zany antics. Having Jyushimatsu as a partner is about energetic adventures and warm smiles . It's outings at the parks and laughing till it hurts. Spending time with Jyushimatsu means having someone there that will always pick you up and ensure that smile is never too far from your face

Todomatsu

Out of all the brothers, Todomatsu is probably the most socially adept, but he is still not without his problems. It might be easy to misinterpret his constant need to photograph every outing and post it to social media as a simple need for validation, but there's more to it then that. While most photos get posted simply to his social media feed  and deleted almost immediately after, the memories he made with you have their own special place both in his files and his heart. He is so happy to be with you and can't help but document it. And don't ever talk down about yourself, he won't have it! Having Totty as a partner is exploring the world together, be it cozy cafes or hiking the mountains. It is creating happy memories, memories that you can look back on for years to come.

Jonathan Crane canonically grew up without friends and I think that’s really depressing. Reblog this post if you would befriend a young Jonathan Crane.

I think these panels are best displayed next to one another. Tim Sale’s use of tight cropping only helps to accentuate Scarecrow’s tall and slender figure. He focuses solely on Jonathan’s hands for six panels before giving us an extreme closeup of his long face. Then in the third illustration, he pulls back and gives us a full body shot of Scarecrow from a high angle before tightly cropping their figures once more. Sale sure knows how to cram a lot of visual detail in just a few panels, notice the the skeleton in the corner of the third page, the many oddly shaped beakers and flasks surrounding it, and every close up of Scarecrows mask features many subtle cracks and creases. It’s amazing.
