just my opinion it really ticks me off how hockey fans, commentators and writers will give pk flack for being too “cocky” and saying he’s “unlikeable” for how he is off the ice. but then they praise other players who have been accused of rape and/or abuse and then defend them by saying “what really matters is how they play the game”. like no, fuck you. just admit that you don’t like pk because he is a handsome black man and a minority in a sport where 90% of players are white and ugly. he doesn’t have to be apologetic for having a personality because the majority of hockey players will literally make you die of second hand embarrassment when you watch videos of them on an off-rink environment. tonight’s nhl awards made me realize that pk can do the most and he won’t get the praise he deserves from the majority of the hockey community. the man gave 10 million dollars to a children’s hospital in montreal as a thank you for being included into the community. it was considered one of “the most philanthropic commitment made by a sports figure”. and he wasn’t even praised for it. instead we had to watch an alleged rapist and a confirmed abuser be celebrated for his accomplishments in the past year. idk it just really makes me sad…

This whole K. Michelle, Memphitz thing got me heated. I just saw the clip from Marriage Boot Camp and saw his ass lashing out at Toya and now people are like “oh my God, K. Michelle wasn’t lying.” Blah blah blah.

Let me ask y'all something. This is coming from deep in my anger and my heart…

When a BLACK woman comes forward about traumatic experiences, WHY THE FUCK DO Y'ALL ALWAYS ACCUSE US OF LYING? Ooooh…especially when she’s darker…(YES TF Y'ALL DO PUT DARK SKIN WOMEN UNDER A HUNDRED AND HELL DEGREES OF SCRUTINY)

I ain’t never seen a race of women lie more about shit than White women but y'all always want Black women to show y'all proof of Black eyes, proof of injuries, PROOF OF MISTREATMENT! ALWAYS!

Why do y'all like to make Black women relive traumatic experiences until you’re satisfied with the story?

Because yall are ‘’strong black women’’ and since you can’t feel pain you gotta be lying for some money/attention

SAY THAT SHIT AGAIN. RUN THAT SHIT BACK.

“Y'all so strong, y'all invincible.” We don’t get raped but 60% of Black girls are sexually assaulted before the age of 18.

We don’t get shot but 17% of gunshot survivors are Black women.

We don’t get beat on because we’re too strong but 34% of Black women are murdered by their significant others.

BUT Y'ALL DON’T FUCKING HEAR ME.

Ok, wait a minute. As somebody who believed K. Michelle in the beginning, he wasn’t what made me turn against her. She did it. Her actions on Love and Hip Hop Atlanta. I was a fan of K Michelle way before she got on the show, I’d heard her story about it (which were conflicting anyway. One time, she says he beat her ass, another time she says that he only hit her with a plastic water bottle, he said he only put his hand over her mouth). But her psycho reputation already preceded her, but then when she gets on the show, she exposes that she has a very very slick mouth that attacks without warrant (they may be playing cool now, but K Michelle had a ton to say about Joseline in those first two seasons and to my knowledge, Joseline never said anything or provoked her), she proceeds to throw forks, drinks, candles, roses and punches at numerous castmates FIRST (showing that she is definitely the one who escalates an altercation). Not to mention that because Toya merely defended her husband, K Michelle was talking about how she was gonna beat her up, how she was gonna fuck up Tamar Braxton, how she was gonna fuck up Kandi Burruss and Monyetta and actually got into multiple situations with Rasheeda, all because they were friends of Toya’s. She spent two years trying to fight all of Atlanta all to prove a point that she was disproving by her actions. Let’s not turn a isolated psycho like K Michelle into some kind of martyr for black women. 2 out of my 5 sisters have been in abusive relationships. They are NOTHING like her and I refuse to let anyone put them on the same playing field.

I’m glad the truth came out through the court documents so now we all know and can dead the situation. But you can’t be terrible to everybody and then expect sympathy.

Do you know what abusive relationships do to you mentally? When you began to feel like everyone is against you? Please don’t use your 2 sisters as shining examples of survivors. I got my ass beat for 2 years. If their sandwich was too hot or too cold. And in the last incident with my ex, I finally snapped. Am I crazy?

“Her story changed.” Abuse. When you’re being abused or have been, you have a mentality of feeling bad for your abuser. You feel like it’s your fault.

If I’m not mistaken, aren’t those the women who accused her of lying for attention? I’d be ready to fight too. Nothing disgusts me more than Black women who turn on other Black women. I don’t care how slick any woman’s mouth is, it’s not an excuse for her to lose the teeth in them.

When should anybody just believe any accusation without proof? She ain’t your homie…u don’t know her character.

You believe that women should show proof of damage to their bodies?

So should people believe accusations of lying without proof???

Because she’s not their ideal victim. She from the hood, dark skin, vocal, out there and in your face, and we all know black women have to be damn near Angelic to believe us being victims. It’s really sad. We have to be “respectable” before we can be seen as human beings who hurt. The comments above from @ mrmaleficent proved that.

I don’t like when men try to define or tell other women about abusive relationships that involve women. Often it ends in them projecting misogynoir.

starling, you are a stained glass window in an abandoned church, an ancient dream, a forgotten god. the pull of your wings is tidewards (always the sea’s sweet bead), your breath’s all sugar and fickle icing, like the gutting of a cake. your eyes mirror the minted misery in mine. all of atlantis stands in wait, to watch as you emulate, constellations. starling, take your light puddles and your blinking headlights and your sun sap and walk into one of my poems. i will bury you in my words, in a greenhouse of warmth and roses chirping on the table and a soft contained fire of floating things. here, you are etched into my flickering forever.
