Sean looked at the girl for a moment and quickly realized that she actually went to the college where this party was being held. His friends said Seniors and Juniors came all the time, but the last thing he would ever guess was that a college girl would be asking if he went there. His eyes went wide a bit as he looked down at his hands, debating if he should lie or not. If he lied, then she would never trust him. But if he didn’t and found out he was in high school, why would she want to talk to a high school student. His smile slowly came back as he shook his head, trying not to look at her in the eye. “No, I don’t go to school here. I’m looking here though.” He said with a nod as he caught her eyes again and chuckled just a bit. “I know this is probably weird, but I’m still in high school.” Quickly he ran a hand through his hand as he started to get nervous (and when he got nervous boy did Sean babble). “And I know that you probably don’t want to talk to some dorky kid from high school whose doesn’t know anything about college and about parties and…” His cheeks went red again as he shrugged his shoulders. “I couldn’t lie to you about that.” He said with a nod as he caught her eyes once again, hoping that she wouldn’t just blow him off.
His frantic rambling, she had to admit, was quite amusing -- it was refreshing to be on the other side of things for once and not be the one in his position. "Woah, hey, it's okay," her grin spreading wide across her face as she sat up straighter, more attentive. "High school? Really? I thought you were at least a freshman here, you might have even been able to pull of junior- but I admire the honesty. It's...stimulating." Outwardly impressed, Fleur was scolding herself on the inside, wondering how it was just her luck to have landed the best conversation in a long time with a high school kid. But when she glanced over to see him nervously fidgeting and caught his eye once more, briefly again, she subconsciously thought about how cute he was and how just because he was younger than her was no reason to end a conversation they were both enjoying. "Look- seeing as you've gotten yourself into a college party shows that you are a lot more accomplished than I was at your age. I mean, there's only a couple years between us, but even now I don't get into many of them myself. It was Sean, right?" She turned her body towards his, her body language speaking for itself and hopefully putting him slightly at ease, "I won't tattle to the big ol' frat boys if you won't. Besides, I'd have to sit out here alone again if I did."

Sean couldn’t help but laugh a bit at the girl and feel his own cheeks start to go a bit red. He was so glad that he left that horrible party and decided to come outside, because if he didn’t he might have missed meeting her. “I’ve never been compared to a kitten before.” He said with a smile, letting her know not to be embarrassed. Honestly he thought that it was done right adorable and just from that he knew that he was going to spend the rest of his time out here. “I’m more of a puppy kind of guy.” After setting his cup down, he gave her another smile and did catch her eyes for a moment. It was only for a moment, but in that moment Sean could have sworn that the world stopped spinning. “Sean    I mean I’m Sean.” Now his cheeks were even more red with embarrassment. He couldn’t even introduce himself the right way. “And no, not really. This is actually the first party I’ve ever been to.” He shrugged his shoulders just a bit and looked down at his hands, just hoping that the redness on his cheeks would go away just as fast as it came.
A relieved sense washing over her, Fleur tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear and let her smile widen, "I'd like to think it's a pretty complimenting comparison- I mean, kittens are amazing and cute and...they're just great," and he seemed great so far, too. This was on it's way to be the best accidental meeting she had ever found herself in. "But, I mean, puppies are great as well. I just couldn't imagine having one running around my apartment all the time -- they're much more high maintenance than kittens are," it was an odd topic of conversation, she had to admit, but the smile on his face was every bit worth it. And it was an extremely low-pressure one, she hadn't once felt like she was trying to say what he wanted to hear (granted, that could be attributed to her tendency to ramble). "I'm Fleur," the girl who's cheeks were close to matching the color of her hair spoke up, "The first? Well, do you go to school here? I mean, if you do, there's bound to be a ton of parties in your future." Her gaze followed his and dropped to his hands, avoiding any awkward eye contact or staring at his smile for much too long -- he was the first decent person she had met at one of these things and she didn't want to mess it up so soon.
