After years of feeling like crap- everyone thinking I’m crazy-including doctors- my new rheumy said it’s definitely lupus. Went on plaquenil and felt 20 Percent better in two weeks. 50 percent in 2 months. Still though, I’m an active athlete and pushed through terrible pain even crying on my runs. I feel a little better but my husband left me anyway . It was too much for him to get the sugar free Powerade when I had the stomach flu as the regular one could hurt my kidneys. It’s been almost a year on plaq. He left me anyway. That’s my secret.
