                            well, maybe not these days ---- wait, no, that's accurate. van statten was 2012. before he went wandering off, she's pretty sure the doctor mentioned that they were in 2014. somewhere around there, anyways. somewhere close. london looks basically the same as ever.

                            a small laugh, and her lips curve up in a smile.

How many people have managed to get onto the planet in the past twenty years? None, or near enough. But the day that they manage it, that they plan to prevent inter-galactic war through any means necessary, up to and including allowing Rocket to blow things up, a couple of sight-seers somehow turn up.

           ❝I’m breaking in.❞

The answer is curt; there’s not much more to be said on the matter.

Because one Terran (half-Terran, if the distinction is made) this far from a planet where interstellar travel is still mostly a matter for fiction is unlikely enough — two, almost impossible.

                                  honestly, she can't recall the last time they showed up somewhere that they were supposed to be. well... not entirely true, there was new earth. face of bo, message on the psychic paper. but that got kind of out of hand pretty quickly. most things do when the doctor's involved.

                                  at the words 'breaking in', rose's lips part, something between an 'o' of surprise, one of comprehension, and the moment before one says something ---- and for a moment she does, indeed, seem as though she's about to say something, but in the end she simply closes her mouth, gives a short nod, and presses her lips together.

                                  breaking in. alright. not like she's never broken in any place. she won't judge.

           ❝erm ---- 's tha' mean earth?                    'coz -- yeah. tha's me.❞

     Not impressed? How in the   name     of    Rassilon       is she not impressed   by   him? He   can’t  imagine      how anyone, let alone Rose, can  be  unimpressed      by his obvious brilliance!

                         she stifles a laugh (unsuccessfully). he turns into a defensive puppy when people aren't amazed by him, she's learned. it's adorable.
