Oh you know, just what the past one and a half years of my life a little thing Kyle Lopez and I made. It only took 2 humans’ worth of blood, sweat and tears, that’s not bad, right? In all seriousness, I was super lucky to have worked on something I loved; I still see flaws, there isn’t anything I would have rather made. The result of four years of college. Enjoy!

I guess I should put this up now.. Here’s a very small percentage of work I’ve done over the last year and a half. A tornado of topology, a barrage of blend shapes and some sneak peeks of my senior film. Enjoy! Here’s a link to my flat portfolio with more goodies.

So anyone who knows me knows that I had basically shut myself off from civilization to work on this thing called thesis, and I really wanted to share what inspired me to do this. I’ve been dreaming of making this spoof poster since the storyboard phase, and there was no greater feeling than making this (well, maybe the feeling of being done with thesis but eh). I can’t wait to share the film with everyone! 

I’m taking an illustration elective class with the fantastic Mike Hodges, and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made this semester. This project stemmed from a project he calls “Fictionary”, stemming from the idea of taking words from a single page in a dictionary and making a narrative out of them. My words were Lynx, Lunar and Luncheon, leading to this bizarre illustration.

It’s a great idea generator, try it out! :)

Neil Gaiman is a beautiful man, who writes beautiful words. This quote of his truly spoke to me, more than any New Year wish could; as it probably has to nearly everyone.

Been working on some album artwork for a good friend's band. The first option seems most likely to be our final - the bottom three are the ideation process. Enjoy! :)

This painting kicked my ass. It was awesome. We started off by ideating 20 abstract black and white thumbnails, and picked one to refine. Yay for giant mushrooms and spores. 

This was a fun little challenge on facebook - Create a character from a doodle that you got tagged in. I procrastinated some CA by working on this :) I just coloured in my cool-ass hiker chick. Maybe someday I'll be as cool as her.

*I know I haven't updated since like May I'm so sorry for the few people that actually follow my dumb blog, I love every last one of you, please don't leave me**<3  ANYWAYS hi hello, here's a super cool project from August this year! DFA (Drawing for animators) is a super awesome class that magically improves your art, with a little help from tears and sadness and your awesome instructor. For this project, we made 100 silhouettes, 50 scribbles and took pictures od 50 textures, and we had to create characters from those base objects. An incredible learning experience, both in design and painting! 

Sit Stand assignment! A month-long modeling/texturing/blend shapes/rigging/animation project. It was crazy, but worth it. 

It's insane how much we've learnt in a year.. can't wait for the lesson to continue.
