Well-known people being weird about their OCs has really inspired me — one of my favorite podcasts, Radio Rental, stars Rainn Wilson’s OC Terry Carnation. As in, when he was asked to do the podcast, his one requirement was that he get to use his OC and they build the concept for the podcast around that.

My OCs have their own soundtrack and figurines.

My ankle surgery got delayed again but I'm finally getting some shitty veins that cause me problems removed in the summer. My surgery outcome will be so much better with this done first. My arteries are fine, but the poor veins in my legs are getting clots and not returning blood well so they gotta go. They're also blocking the intended surgery site in my left ankle.

Just a clarification on that, I've had two clots, one entirely in a cluster of varicose veins on my shin and the DVT happened on my calf in an area my brace cuff bruised. Apparently some of it was in a varicose vein that had thrombosed and bled under the skin but it was backed up into a deep vein. They aren't just unsightly, they can catch clots. So they doctors finally agreed to help me. I've had them to some degree since I was a teenager.

tiktok is such an awful app, it's almost designed to feed you misinformation and expose you to insane discourse. unlike beloved tumblr, the app that feeds me misinformation and exposes me to insane discourse

No, no, no, you see on tiktok an algorithm feeds you misinformation. On Tumblr I feed myself misinformation from my charcuterie board of hand-selected unhinged mutuals.

None of that mass market junk. Only artisanal, small batch, sustainably cultivated, fair trade horseshit.

the ability to say "i dont have a tiktok" in social situations makes me feel so powerful. like the general reaction is "shock, confusion, then this weird 'thats probably a good thing' response" its so fun
