turns out the nurse didn't check in with the doctor before scheduling in May, and with the added possible complications she doesn't want to do it at the secondary campus, so I'm now waiting until the last week of August instead (boo) (still better than the last 30 years of no surgery though ig)
plus side, I'm second in line on the waiting list, which she said has pretty good odds of nabbing earlier openings by months, so there's that. so overall an unfortunate miscommunication, but still a light at the end of the tunnel. (and also she called less than 24hrs after the original scheduling, it's not like I got hyped up about it for a month before the date changed)

see, a cowcatcher would be a better choice for a manual chair, where you need folk to be shunted to the side to conserve arm power and momentum
whereas a snowplow would be better for a power chair, since it keeps the chair more manoeuvrable. plus the power chair has the strength to offer a visual deterrent of several bodies stacked in your scoop
my discord buddies recommended a third option - lawnmower head. lightweight, visual and auditory deterrent, and you can have a cute rotom infest it! 4 perks in one right here

Y'all, the world is sleeping on what NASA just pulled off with Voyager 1
The probe has been sending gibberish science data back to Earth, and scientists feared it was just the probe finally dying. You know, after working for 50 GODDAMN YEARS and LEAVING THE GODDAMN SOLAR SYSTEM and STILL CHURNING OUT GODDAMN DATA.
So they analyzed the gibberish and realized that in it was a total readout of EVERYTHING ON THE PROBE. Data, the programming, hardware specs and status, everything. They realized that one of the chips was malfunctioning.
So what do you do when your probe is 22 Billion km away and needs a fix? Why, you just REPROGRAM THAT ENTIRE GODDAMN THING. Told it to avoid the bad chip, store the data elsewhere.
Sent the new code on April 18th. Got a response on April 20th - yeah, it's so far away that it took that long just to transmit.
And the probe is working again.
From a programmer's perspective, that may be the most fucking impressive thing I have ever heard.
I already promised some more MSA sketches in the future for my watchers, but I figured ya'll deserved at least one cleaned up sketch right now since I haven't posted any art of the gang in awhile. Purely for fun as I've always wanted to draw the gang in more alternate outfits. :D
one thing that does bug me a bit about this mount is the tail. like it's not flipped up like I'd expect for this dynamic action, it's not purposefully curved downwards intentionally, or curved around the muscle of the thigh, and it's not like the inner form broke or anything. it's just. like that. on purpose.
#maybe this is why it feels a little uncanny #the action doesn't move through the form. it just turns a sharp 90° angle into resting pose at the hip
except looking through google images maybe caracals just.... do that? and now I'm even more confused 😭
