As a way to practice anatomy and learn more fluidity, I decided to strike up a series of these to help not only myself, but also anyone that might have need of them! Though this is the small version of the set, the high res is offered over at my Patreon. If anyone is interested in helping out a fellow artist, please don’t hesitate, as I will be offering tutorials, poses, NSFW illustrations, and more over there! www. patreon.com / Keiivory Artwork by Kei-Ivory
I’ve always been an avid admirer of art for about as long as I’ve been able to hold a pencil just as many before me have. With each new generation new artistic techniques are introduced and created. From Oil Paintings, to Acrylic, Colored Pencils, to Digital, no matter your canvas the premise stays the same as they all require one thing in common from each of us to work. Imagination. Without it art couldn’t possibly exist. Back in Ancient Japan, Calligraphers and illustrators were highly regarded as skilled artisans. Spending hours upon hours dedicated to their beautiful calligraphy and personal style. Nowadays, many believe such traditional arts to have taken a back seat due to the existence of Digital Art and Graphics Design but I’m here to say that that’s not the case. The only thing that has changed is the paper and brush with which you draw with. Which is why I decided to bring the two together in this one piece. As you may have noticed, the artist is holding their stylus pen in a very traditional manner akin to that of a calligrapher. The ink spilling out of it represents the ancient craft still somehow existing but under a new medium. Spilling from the tablet onto it’s original medium. Plain ordinary paper. The lanterns hanging from the Sapporo can to the stylus is imagination. By being an artist. You bring a piece of your imagination into the real world. While the Mount Fuji in the back made of crumpled pieces of paper with the rising sun in the form of a ball of yarn represents the ability to see the possibilities and creativity in everything even when it’s not there. Artists evolve with the times, but throughout all eras. Imagination stays the same.
Good luck to all the other entrants~

When these little bastards jumped into my life, I was just blown away by how much they clicked~ It’s been so long since I finished a picture of mine and Lurockia’s kids and it feels wonderful to finally have this finished. Everything has been pretty hectic in my life for the past several months but hopefully it’ll settle down soon. These two have seriously made me happy in finally getting inspiration to finish an artwork. I can’t wait to make more. Artwork by Kei-Ivory Ezra belongs to Kei-Ivory Adam belongs to Lurockia
I started this picture a while back and due to, a hell of a lot of reasons, I had to set it aside for a bit. I finally picked it up again a few days ago and here we are~ I’ve been playing these games since the beginning and working on this one was a blast. I incorporated all the themes that were the most important to me into this; Adventure, love, and the feeling of home, and of course, I had to work with the Art Nouveau style as it is what gives me the absolute most inspiration.
If you haven’t played these games from the beginning, are you even living, really?? Come on, guys–

And finally, here is the next Yuna piece that I’ve been playing with the last few weeks. Had a hard time finishing it given what happened in my personal life but I’m just happy to get it out. I’m not sure who’s next but I’ll keep this going with the other Final Fantasy Ladies! Here I used the temples symbols from Final Fantasy X to portray where her heart was in the first game, as well as adding themes from Tidus to bring the piece together and show her tranquility with him while still focusing solely on her journey to defeat Sin. Enjoy! Artwork by Kei-Ivory Yuna and Final Fantasy belongs to Square-Enix
finally have felt the passion and need to draw again and I am so, so proud of how this turned out. I know it isn’t perfect but the fact that I was ecstatic to work on this brought actual joy to my heart. Art Nouveau is a serious passion of mine ever since my dear friend Lurockia introduced it to me years ago and now I can’t believe how it’s brought inspiration into my life again when I have been at my absolute lowest. I’m hoping to spin out a Ladies of Final Fantasy Series in this style but for now, please enjoy Lady Yuna from FFX-2 <3 Artwork by Kei-Ivory Yuna and Final Fantasy belongs to Square-Enix
This is actually pretty darn old as I started it months ago and have been struggling to finish it in that time… I’m still not happy with it but I wanted to finally post it and get it out of my personal art queue! I just adore Final Fantasy VIII and I hope to get one of these done for each Final Fantasy game It’s wonderful to be able to work on these for personal enjoyment, as the Final Fantasy series had given me a love for magic and gifted me with stories that keep me going even in my darkest times. So I had originally done this weeks ago for a contest entry but as you can see, this is actually a depiction of my OC Lotus but as a mermaid! It was so fun to work on and even with how much I’ve been struggling, it was totally worth it to finish this if only for a bit of personal art! Artwork by Kei-Ivory Lotus belongs to Kei-Ivory
I had actually wanted to participate in the Tomb Raider contest going on recently in collaboration with Lurockia but we didn’t make it in time D’: Still, we created this regardless and I wanted to share it! Ahhhhh…. I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS WAS PUBLISHED IN THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION OF RISE OF THE TOMB RAIDER After nearly a week I was finally able to crank out something unlike anything I’ve ever worked on before and really, I can’t be all that shocked at the level of motivation I summoned for this. It is Lara Croft after all and I think we all in the TR community have seen how much of an influence this one, simple character can have on us. I remember this being the first lady I ever drew, terribly mind you, when I was younger as I sat there watching my siblings and mother play the very first Tomb Raider. I was so scared of those pixelated bears but I think the T-rex completely stole the show. I grew up with these games, I formed a love for art through them and a fascination with the world around me. I thought it only fitting that I contribute my own depiction of this amazing character for her 20th anniversary. The fact that she is still going strong after all this time is pretty amazing and I can only hope she continues for years to come~ Art by Kei-Ivory Lara Croft belongs to Crystal Dynamics & Square-Enix
So here we are again with a new Art Nouveau piece of Princess Zelda from Breath of the Wild! I honestly loved getting my hands dirty with this particular style and amazingly, I didn’t even stress while doing it, which is incredibly surprising due to my intense issues with my art lately. This lady here was such a joy to draw and so relaxing. I grew up with the Legend of Zelda, from an N64 with Ocarina of Time to all the ones in between. I’ve got to say, what has been created with this series is simply awe inspiring, so I feel as though the effort I put into this particular piece has been a fitting tribute. I really hope you guys love this, I look forward to practicing more with this style in the future! Maybe even with some Dragon Age characters– Who knows~

This here is my Artemis with his lover Tactics! I had to experiment more with this style and truth be told, I’m just so happy with it, I really am. And what better way to experiment than to draw these two?? They are quite literally night and day and I love showing that perfect contrast between them~ Everything about them seems to blend so well together. There’s a certain calm between them but it doesn’t stop these two from getting stupidly flirtatious and playful…. They’re actually just lovestruck teens I swear to god– ANYWAY, enjoy! This took waaaayyyy longer than I had predicted, so much so that I am literally looking up at my calendar wonder where the time went– BUT, here we are. Another year of my cherished babies, Celver~ And also a very happy, LATE, birthday to my very best friend, my sister from hundreds of miles across the US; Lurockia~ I love you damnit and I hope the rest of this year gives you everything you deserve Now this picture depicts Celsius and Reaver as Youkai, an AU inspired from the popular anime Inuyasha. Cel takes the form of a Kitsune while Reaver is a Wolf, both being lords that rule kingdoms on opposite sides of the boundary that separates them. Despite everything, the two of them, of course, are so incredibly drawn to one another that they marry and merge their kingdoms to be together~ Just had to give a bit of backstory for you guys! Enjoy!! Artwork and Reaver belong to Kei-Ivory Celsius belongs to Lurockia You may NOT use this art.
The third in this Sailor Series I’ve decided to take on~ I decided to go with Jasmine’s red outfit at the end of the first movie because honestly, red and gold compliment her so well. I really enjoyed working on this one~ I hope you all love it! Next up: Sailor Series: Rapunzel … Sailor Series: Fa Mulan Art @Keiivory Jasmine @Disney Sailor Moon universe @Naoko Takeuchi
FINALLY, I give you all the fourth in this Sailor Series I’ve decided to take on~ I decided to go with Rapunzel and Eugene for this one just because.. honestly I adore them together– Eugene is so genuinely in love with her and he’s so supportive and such a dweeb. I couldn’t leave him out because we all know he’d scoop his princess up like this in a heartbeat! This picture was incredibly relaxing for me to work on (until I got up to the last bits pfft) and I can’t wait to do more of these! Next up: Sailor Series: Fa Mulan … Sailor Series: Belle Art @Keiivory Rapunzel and Eugene @Disney Sailor Moon universe @Naoko Takeuchi
Finally. My first artwork of 2017 and it was a hassle to get out. Been going through a really rough art block due to a few different things, every time I get something out on paper, or rather; screen, I feel like it’s nowhere near what it should be. But as my best friend keeps telling me, finished not perfect so here we are. Finished. It may not be perfect but I do think it turned out decent at least.
I decided to do my own take on Sailor Moon this time around. I still need a ridiculous amount of practice with anatomy and so many other aspects of art that it’s overwhelming but I tried to show Sailor Moon as strong, capable; even a little sad given everything she goes through in both the anime and manga (which the manga is her original and most accurate portrayal in my opinion.)
Not everyone likes this character but take a moment to realize that while she is a bit of a whiner and cries easily, she stands up and fights even when she gets knocked down. She has so much will to live and love and fight for what’s right. Even when she starts to give up, she finds a reason not to even if her friends aren’t there to knock some sense into her. This is why she inspires so many people; new and old-time fans. In a world where depression and even suicide are far too common, I don’t think it’s silly at all to look to characters like these to help inspire you.
