Caring At Home

Caring at home is asking your beloved if he would like anything from the kitchen when you get up to refill your water or clear the plates.

Caring at home is planning carefully to make sure that there is always enough to eat, and trading off responsibility for cooking healthy meals and cleaning up after.

Caring at home is recognizing when your darling is overwhelmed, and listening to their troubles/wrapping them in a hug/stepping up to help out.

Caring at home is speaking kind, gentle words to one another and holding hands during difficult discussions-- it is also knowing when to ask for a 15 minute break to calm childish anger.

Caring at home is listening to one another and taking turns choosing activities. Playing games and making jokes together, laughing and smiling together, planning a future together.

Caring at home is checking in with your sweetheart to see how you are doing is a partner, and being honestly willing to accept negative feedback and work to improve.

Caring at home is praying over the family together, worshipping in church together, and reflecting in silence together.

There is no price tag attached to having a loving, caring home. There are no pre requisite classes to take to have a successful and healthy relationship. All it takes is two people who are committed to loving one another for the rest of forever.
