Hey, I know I’m not on here much these days, but it’d be appreciated if you could reblog this. Apologies for how long this is.

I’m in between jobs right now. I had a Teaching Assistantship job that lasted me until this month. It doesn’t start up again until August. I’m currently looking for employment but haven’t found a place that will hire me for the few months I have (since I can’t continue the job with my TA job on top of classes, the school won’t allow it). 

I pay $645/month in rent, on top of car insurance, renter’s insurance, utility bills, gas money for my car, and groceries. Rent combined with all my credit card/utility bills will wipe out about half of my checking account. On top of that, I’m not sure what my scholarship situation is going to be, and I’m paying for my master’s degree all by myself, which is going to be another $1000-2000 (i.e., no loans because I’m already in debt from those).

To try to keep afloat while I’m trying to find work, completing projects for school, and studying for the GRE to apply to the doctorate program here at my school (the testing fee being $205, and yes, I have to take the test! The doctoral application fee is another $50-65!), I’m taking writing and drawing commissions through my ko-fi link and my Paypal. 1 ko-fi gets you a bust/torso sketch of one character or a 300-word fic. Here’s some examples of my art and writing. What I’ll draw/write can be negotiated, but I have a right to refuse something I feel is inappropriate or out of my area of expertise.
