Finally got a replacement 3D for printer for Christmas. Which was must needed as my other one was broken beyond repair for about a year and a half. So the captain America shield I’ve been working on has gone unfinished. However now that I have my new printer I can finally do 3D printing projects again. Starting with finishing the last piece of the front of my Captain America Shield. I will do the back of the shield as well just might do some other cool projects in between that take less time as the back pieces will take soo much more time to print.

I am not into musicals, but 'Spirited' just may be the single best ADULT christmas movie musical EVER.

I mean, the fucking set pieces ALONE. Seriously, this movie must have been expensive as FUCK.

Either way, as I said: I ain't into musicals. And there were two shitty parts of this movie: Will Farrel can NOT sing. Carry a tune? Sure. Make it a pleasant one? Not really... And it is LAYERED. There are so many plots and subplots, it's a lot to take in. It's not overdone, but WAY more backstory and info than a typical christmas movie. You kinda gotta pay attention. Especially cuz they make a lot of references to previous scenes/jokes.

Anyways, I am going to try to stay away from giving away too much, cuz it is worth every fucking second. I mean, fuck, I LOATHE dance numbers, and mother fuckers: I was THOROUGHLY impressed with the dance pieces. They were clearly months of training professionals. Turns out, I kinda like tap. To get this many people, this coordinated, this..perfect. Unimaginable skill from the entire staff.

I will try to stay away from specific details, but these plot points do give a lot away so SPOILERS!

How 'Adult'?

1-one of the FIRST BIG NUMBERS, they make a light joke about being on molly.

2-a ghost fucks a human. That actually happens in this film.

3-Say 'fuck you' as many ways as possible without saying it (good afternoon).

4-talk seriously about online bullying.

5-talk seriously about letting kids be kids (not holding every little thing they do wrong over their head)

6-confront kid suicide from bullying. They do not outright SAY it, but they point that at it in every direction.

7-show how adults can, indirectly, use kids to harm other kids.

8-expose how businesses/politicians use misinformation and divisions to control and profit. (I told you there were a LOT of layers to this movie)

9-Adult suicide.

10-<BIGGEST SPOILER OF THE WHOLE MOVIE> They KILL the main character. Like, you NEVER see it coming.

There's plot holes galore, but you don't fucking care. You enjoy yourself the entire time. One of the few times I wasn't checking how much was left of the movie.

Spirited: 9.2/10. A near PERFECT movie. It has something for everyone. Literally.

ps-Fav part? I don't have just one. 3-Will farrel singing. He CAN NOT sing, but, because of that, it actually makes the whole thing feel a lot more real. Authentic. Cuz if they autotuned him....ew. 2-the ending. Cuz I had a lot of guesses, and I wasn't actually that close. I am notorious for figuring out endings on little info, and I didn't see this one's coming. 1-I mentioned it before, but I was right. The funniest moment of the movie, but, you need the build up of ALL the rest of the movie to make it THAT funny. When the taxi driver says 'good afternoon'. That is one of the funniest moments of ANY movie. I PROMISE you will laugh.

100% agree with all of this. When me and my family initially watched it we got away with it by not telling my dad it was a musical cause normally he hates musicals. He cant stand them finds them boring and pointless. But he really enjoys will Ferrell movies. So that’s all we told him. And he actually really enjoyed the movie to the point we’ve watched it at least twice completely now. Which for him watching a musical at all is rare if not just doesn’t happen lol. But he actually really likes Spirited, so we probably have a new classic Christmas movie to rewatch every year now.

100% yes to this this movie just made me realize immediately that I’m a sucker for Pasek and Paul written music. Like I think the only one of their musicals that I didn’t become super obsessed with was Lala Land and it’s not cause the music is bad, I just personally don’t find the story that interesting. But spirited and the greatest showman on obsessive repeat on my Spotify 24/7 lately. Lately more spirited cause Christmas vibes.

My younger brother yesterday made a point that very much describes me as a person. He was like “So your too lazy to make yourself subs (like the sandwiches) but you’ll create an entire excel sheet on google sheets for every single file marvel comic in chronological order.” And my response was “Pretty much. Also cause I’ve never read a single one of them I need a reading checklist to keep myself sane.” Because I decided on the fact theirs way too much events and characters I wanna read about to separate by individual character arcs so like a glutton for punishment I’m starting from the very very beginning and just gonna go from there. So I’ve started reading Marvel comics now.

things in the avengers game that feels straight out of 2012 fanfic:

  • tony and kamala are currently in a prank war
  • natasha has taken kamala’s side
  • so has kate
  • clint is too, but mostly because if he helps tony, nat will never talk to him again
  • hulk really wants to help, but clint says he’s not stealthy enough
  • pretty much no one is on tony’s side except tony.
  • thor borrows hair ties from natasha
  • both he and clint are confused by the midguardian obsession with manbuns
  • tony looks up inspirational quotes sometimes. he is deeply embarrassed by this fact.
  • tony has rented an apartment in the building clint owns.
  • t’challa hugs lucky and says he knows he’s really the one in charge.
  • the avengers used to have wheelie chair races
  • until tony crashed into cap
  • clint has a special place somewhere in the helicarrier to go for some peace and quiet now that kate has taken over his quarters.
  • thor wants to know where it is. not so he can use it, but so he can protect it and make sure clint can always use it without being bothered by anyone
  • nat seems to threaten to shoot clint whenever he gets on her nerves.
  • cap can’t cook
  • cap is so bad at cooking that clint bought him a gift certificate for cooking classes.
  • which steve very much appreciates after his terrible cooking showed up in kamala’s fanfiction.
  • clint is an amazing gift giver. he says its because he listens.
  • tony says its because he’s obviously a secret psychic.
  • thor loves pineapple on pizza
  • steve is disgusted by this fact.

things add in the mighty thor update:

  • clint buys fancy coffee from overseas and takes note of the flavours it’s supposed to have and shares it with jane, under the condition that she hides it from tony.
  • he has also gotten her hooked in his favourite show (most likely dog cops) and they binge watch it together
  • clint clearly makes friends with the female avengers really quickly and it’s wondeful
  • cap thinks the shield agents are scared of jane
  • this is because he’s heard them saying something about her “stepping on them”
  • jane has to tell cap that that’s not what that means
  • she seems pretty damn flattered by that.

Genuinely my favourite part about this game is the unique characterization and world building the story is telling. Been digging back into it a little more again lately after taking a break from it for a while. And remembering exactly how much I love it.

Got bored enough and have had wayyy too much time on my hands recently. Plus in full on productive night owl mode and not tired in the slightest. So been teaching myself how to create games with unreal engine 5. Got enough general tutorial stuff under my belt I can start designing some bigger planned projects. So brainstorming ideas for possible bigger game projects. And very in-depth thinking about ideas. Making a general idea list first and then I’ll pick a concept and do a in depth brainstorming session for it. Going for brainstorming ideas based on stuff I’m interested in.

Most of the ideas in this list are pretty self explanatory and most people would know what they are except maybe the two at the top. Which are both book series I read that I find the worlds in them super interesting and think designing games out of em would be cool. The Levanthria series would be based off the first book a forest of vanity and valor by AP beswick. Second one would be based on the crystal doors trilogy by Rebecca Moesta and Kevin J Anderson. Any ideas actually used would purely be for personal educational use reasons.

Been i to playing horizon zero dawn lately because I wanted to play forbidden west. However because I’ve never played the first one thought that was the best plan to actually play them in the proper order. So about 2/3rds if the way through the main story now so focusing on side content for a bit. Been in a collectible spree lately.

Wholeheartedly agree with this I have favourite that I get super excited about but doesn’t mean I get rude about it or think the rest are awful. Even if there’s some eras that I personally think don’t have the strongest episodes I still have episodes from every era I enjoy and go back to rewatch.
