TS2 Mod - Synced up Residential and Community time (Community Time Project)

As you probably know, time on Residential and Community lots isn't synced up (Except for college subhoods)

So when a sim left their Residential lot, (for example 05:00 pm) and stayed at a Community lot until 07:00pm, When they will return to their Residential lot, the time hadn't passed while the sim was away and it will be again 05:00 pm.

Here is a mod that kinda fix this.

This mod doesn't sync up the time on different lots, instead it leaves the time on the residential lot the same as it had been when your sim left it, but when you'll return to the residential lot, your sim won't be there and you'll have to wait them to return. You also will recieve a notification, which says he'll come back __ hours. (the amount of time he had spent away from home.)

Let’s continue the usual schedule with some requested retextures!

I mean, the first one is just a recolor, and the second one is kind of a blend. I tried using different textures, but it looked weird.

6 natural colors, gray linked to black. Meshes and bodyshop swatches are included, enjoy! :)

Hi, sorry if you get this twice, my internet died when I hit 'Ask' so I have no idea if my previous message went though, but I was just wondering if you would mind taking a look at ChristianLov's Gussy Up plugin and see if it could be updated for Seasons? It's one of my favourite mods for making over walkbys and townies but it bugs me that I can't use it for Outerwear. Thank you!

ChristianLov’s Gussy-Up Plugin Updated for Seasons

Hello! I only got your message once so it’s a good thing you resent it. Those without seasons will still probably want to use the original version, but now those with seasons can gussy up their sims’ outerwear.

UPDATE 12/11/18: Now updated for BV, so sims can buy jewelry! It’s been given EP checks so sims without seasons/BV should still be able to use it. Also now plantsims who use gussy up can change their hair!

UPDATE 12/17/20: Now buying jewelry for sims in unplayable families (townies, NPCs…) will actually work. Note that it works by saving the purchased jewelry to the active family.

     – Hey there, it’s Lena! (*^0^*)ノ゙

After a little pause I finally got back into The Sims 2 (ah, my first love~ ☆), but this time I had a little bit of trouble switching from the advanced TS4 interface to TS2′s old and glitchy one, especially since the latter was designed to run on 4:3 screen resolutions.      Of course, I looked around for fixes (y’know I love y’all beautiful modders out there 💕), yet I couldn’t seem to find anything that would fully satisfy me and my screen resolution. Hence why, I’ve decided to make my own!

Preview: [x] AND IT ALSO WORKS FOR PETS!! [x]

HOW TO INSTALL: 1. Navigate to your Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Cameras folder; 2. Backup your CASCamera.txt file, IT’S IMPORTANT!! 3. Download your file of choice and open the archive; 4. Extract the new CASCamera.txt file and replace the old one; 5. Enjoy~! ッ

NOTE: BUILT WITH A 1366x768 SCREEN RESOLUTION!

Version ONE (Without PETS) DOWNLOAD: Mediafire // Box // Google Drive

Version TWO (With PETS) DOWNLOAD: Mediafire // Box // Google Drive

Before I describe the new mods, Chris Hatch has already enabled the flirt texting option here.

Diary Builds Creativity + Sims Won’t Hide Diaries

Sims won’t try and hide their diary if other sims are in the room and will build creativity as they write.

UPDATE 9/20/19: Now if you cancel the “write in diary” interaction while the sim is walking they won’t sit down and start writing anyway (ala Cyjon’s cancel diary).

More Nagging

The nag option was already available outside allmenus, but only for sims with a very bad mood (lower than -40 for sims with 6+ nice points, lower than -20 for the others). I changed it so sims now need lower than 0 mood if nice and lower than 20 mood if not: I figure this still keeps it as something only unhappy sims do while giving simmers more opportunities to see it in action.

UPDATE 2/2/19: Now with three versions: the standard version where it’s only available/autonomous for low mood to sims with 75 or less LTR, one where it’s always available regardless of mood/relationship, and one where it’s always available for the player to direct a sim to do but is only autonomous if mood is low and relationship isn’t high (‘high’ here meaning over 75 LTR). All three retain the original feature of the nag social that it’s only available between sims living together.

UPDATE 2 2/2/19: Now the “always available” versions won’t make nag appear as a self-interaction 🤦

Butlers and Nannies Fill Pet Dishes

Butlers and nannies will now fill any pet dishes in need of filling as they go about their duties. Even though it includes butlers I think it’s fine to use if you don’t have AL, the butler part of the code will just go ignored.

UPDATE 8/29/20: Now with a BO feed baby smart NPCs version that includes Boiling Oil’s plugin of the same name, to replace the original version and BO’s feed baby smart NPCs plugin if you wish for the features of both mods.

UPDATE 4/8/20: Thanks to @simnopke a bug has been fixed that was preventing butlers/nannies from sometimes filling pet bowls that could be filled, the mod has been tweaked to no longer need two separate versions for compatibility with BO’s feed baby mod, and nannies/butlers will ignore pet bowls if the family doesn’t actually own a pet.

Aliens can change skintone

I made a mod to let aliens disguise themselves by changing their skintone. This action is selectable on active aliens. They can change their skintone into Maxis light, Maxis tan, Maxis medium, Maxis dark, mannequin, zombie and alien. They can also reset their skintone back to their genetic setting. If alien Sim is also a zombie, they will change back into zombie skintone instead of their genetic skintone. You can add more skintones if you want to.

You need Sophie-David’s alien token for this mod to work. Download SDmetallicmirror_basegame_mesh.zip file. I’ve used some code from treeag’s Sim Transformer.

Update 29th of November 2019: added version for the users of zombie overlay mod. It doesn’t remove the overlay, so zombies will keep it, no matter which skintone they are using at the moment. It just omits zombie skintone, because you don’t use it when you use the overlay, so zombies reset to their genetic skintone too.

Update 23rd of May 2020: fixed problem where this action would still appear on aliens turned into non-aliens

Update 13th of November 2021: added support for @tammyhybrid21‘s alien trait

IMPORTANT NOTE: you may come across an issue that makes skintone reset. You can fix this issue by downloading christianlov’s Custom Skintone Selector, extracting Function - Main - Set Skin BHAV and saving it in separate file. After that you can delete christianlov’s skintone selector. You won’t experience this problem if you have christianlov’s Custom Skintone Selector or @midgethetree‘s zombie overlay.

Insane Sims can summon social bunny

Your Sims with insane trait can summon social bunny if their social need is below 50 (half). This action is selectable on active insane Sims. I’ve used code from MidgeTheTree’s Imaginary Friend Doll Can Summon Social Bunny.

Updates

On the 20th of November I updated poison mod and  TSM spy crafting station.

I added two new poisons: poisoned wine in modern glass and poisoned instant meal, and updated poison Sim mod. If Sim has more than one kind of poison in their inventory, they will use the medieval poison first. If they don’t have any medieval poison, they will use the modern one. They will use the instant meal one only when they’ve got no other kind of poison in their inventory.

I also updated the footprint of crafting station, now it takes 3 tiles instead of 2. To get the new footprint, you have to rebuy the station.

On the 23rd of November I updated airbending practise from 2nd part of bending mod. From now on likeliness of performing joga, meditation and playing with leaves anims depends on personality - serious Sims are more likely to do joga and meditation, while playful Sims are more likely to play with leaves.

Welcome to Aileen Landing! (Final Version)

A custom sci-fi alien neighborhood with scripted events! ^^

Aileen LaFontaine's discovery of this moon has raised hope for people from all over the world. Sims from Pleasantview, Strangetown or Veronaville have left their homes for a better future on this moon!

But the environment seems rather intimidating than welcoming! Bizarre gravity. Swirly gas giant hovering over the ominous misty sky. Two pulsating suns?

Is the "New, Better" world really a better world?

You will find out as you play in the neighborhood! ;)

Neighborhood Information:

* Fully BG Compatible and No CC/EPs Required to play in this neighborhood! However, you may want to check out the optional sky mod I made specifically for this neighborhood.

* No camera mod needed to view the whole neighborhood.

* 59 lots (14 community / 45 residential) … with a few “ready-to-upgrade” lots for EPs, such as Nightlife, Open For Business, Apartment Life, etc.

* 15 families with scripted events/scenarios like in the TS2 base game neighborhoods (see attached screenshots below!)

* Includes customized alien townies/NPCs to reflect the neighborhood's overall theme! Most of the sims are named after actual celestial bodies... i.e. there is a sim named after the star Pollux!

* Speaking of which, there are lots of other astronomical references/easter eggs in the neighborhood (well I guess, that's what happens if you let a physics student design a neighborhood, lol!)

Main Download:

- to install, put the folder AL01 into your Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2 (Ultimate Collection)/Neighborhoods folder and you’re good to go. If you can’t see the neighborhood, try deleting the NeighborhoodManager.package file.

- for the subhood version, put the folder BAL1 into your C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Open For Business\TSData\Res\NeighborhoodTemplate folder -- OR -- C:\Program Files\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Best of Business\EP3\TSData\Res\NeighborhoodTemplate folder if you have TS2 UC.

Optional Downloads:

*Alien Skybox NEW! (Recolor of lowedeus’s skyboxes) - doesn’t affect other neighborhoods unlike the default replacement sky mod, plus a few more details in the sky! See screenshots here! To install, just place it into your Downloads as usual.

*Alternative Alien Sky Mod (DEFAULT REPLACEMENT) - default sky mod as seen in early screens of Aileen Landing, suitable for those with EPs lower than Pets and/or cannot use the skyboxes! To install, just place it into your Downloads as usual.

*Mannequin Babies Can Be Born - mod to fix crashing that may occur when sims with the mannequin skintone have babies. You’ll need it since there are a few sims with the mannequin skintone in this neighborhood. Thank you @crumplebot for reminding me of this mod. :)

Custom Scripted Events!

I really don't want to spoil too much on this already and just let you guys explore the neighborhood first, lol! But I've included an optional mod that introduces you the sims and their storylines a litte.

Simply remove it from the neighorhood folder once you've finished your first round (I recommend playing each family for one day to complete the scripted events). If you don't want to use this mod, you can also remove it from the neighborhood folder.

The recommended play order is exactly the way the families are presented in the neighborhood story. But you can play as you like, the scripted events are independent from each other and won't break if you choose a different play order.

I guess, that's it for now. Phew! Thanks for reading! ^^

Let me know what you think! Any feedback/comment/critism is greatly appreciated!

Have fun and let me know what you did in Aileen Landing! <3

Credits:

Big credit goes to Chris Hatch for the custom scripting mod and @simstate, @lazyduchess, cutupuss at MTS for further information and for the blueprint I’ve used for this mod. Thank you guys for making this possible! <3

And also to everyone who helped me during neighborhood development, thank you guys for all the nice compliments!

Updated! (06/29/22) - V3 (hopefully final!) - Subhood Version Included

Alright, this is most likely the final version of Aileen Landing! Small renovations were made to some of the lots to help improve gameplay (i.e. fix sims possibly getting caught up, etc.).

They're all mostly based on @bobobrains and t0xictia's livestreams, thanks a lot for the helpful suggestions and also for playing in Aileen Landing while it was still in beta. <3

Anyway, here's a quick changelog:

*Various new relationships and memories were added to backup the lore... with a few extras! XD

*1 new community lot, which is supposed to represent a stargate (so, you can justify sims wandering in Aileen Landing from other subhoods) - thanks again @bobobrains for the brilliant idea! :)

*A few new custom NPCs were added as well! ^^

*All families have Storytelling pictures in their family album now, not only to backup the lore, but also give insights to their (shady) past!

*Updated neighborhood picture that actually uses the new season-friendly skybox!

Anyway, here are some screenshots to show some of the changes:

Thanks for those who have playtested the first version and helped me fix the bugs we've encountered! I greatly appreciate that! <3

Feverfew as a Suburb: A Tutorial

Just as we all did, I fell in love with @criquette-was-here ‘s Feverfew hood - I knew it would be the *perfect* addition to Whibley; a quaint European-inspired suburb that will be very important for some storytelling I have in mind.

One problem: it’s not built as a Subhood, technically speaking.

So today I did some reading about that problem; my knowledge of custom hood creation is a little above average, how hard could it be? Turns out: comically easy! You’ll be amazed!

For those who can handle the short, straight-forward answer: simply delete the “suburb” files attached to Feverfew. Boom. Yes, it’s that easy.

Read on for a more detailed answer and how-to instructions with pictures!

Europa - now available as a subhood!

This is a subhood version of my custom neighborhood, Europa. Now, you can add it to an existing neighborhood!

@nerianasims and possibly a couple of other people (I don’t remember exactly who, sorry!) requested this a while ago. I was a bit burned out at the time and not really in the mood to fiddle about with the neighborhood more, but here we are now! Turns out converting to a subhood is extremely simple.

Notes:

  • More information on the hood itself & original download of the standalone version here.
  • Install this by placing it in: C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Open For Business\TSData\Res\NeighborhoodTemplate
  • I would advise backing up your neighborhood before attaching Europa, just in case!
  • Mootilda’s subhood selection mod may be required for this hood to appear correctly on the “add a subhood” screen”.
  • I haven’t tested this version of the neighborhood very extensively, but Graves, storytelling folder and pregnancies worked fine for me. Do let me know of any issues you have.
  • If you have trouble with graves not appearing in the churchyard, try running the Hoodchecker!
  • Townies and NPCs will have their names randomly generated when a subhood is attached. They have family links to each other and were chosen to fit the hood so changing their names back is recommended! Guide on doing that here. Their original names are as follows: Maid: Demi Bianchi  Restaurant staff #1: Alex Bianchi Restaurant staff #2: Florence Russo Barista: Amy Minccino  Mailman: Charlie Minccino Newspaper carrier: Ollie Minccino

Welcome to Berrybury!

Have you wanted to play Veronaville but hated that there are so few families? Don't like marrying in townies? Or maybe it's simply too small? Berrybury was specifically created to solve these problems!

Sunset Valley as a Subhood

“ The moment I saw that @Danies-Simsational-Blog created Sunset Valley for The Sims 2, I said that it needed to be a subhood. A few others agreed, but nobody (besides Danie herself) offered to do it.

Well, I grew antsy about it and decided to make the subhood myself. Actually, I made two versions. Version 1 is just Sunset Valley as a subhood. Version 2 (Where’s Bella?) is the subhood without the Goth, Bachelor, Crumplebottom, and Landgraab families. Version 2 is mostly for those who are playing a Beginning Maxis Hood Series and don’t want those families interwinding with Sunset Valley’s version of the Goths, Bachelor’s, etc…

Both versions were created with AnyGameStarter and checked with HoodChecker.

Installing instructions and download links are below the cut. ”

Reposting Littlebitsims’ post of my Sunset Valley as a subhood since they’ve deactivated. Thank you so much for your patience. Enjoy :)

Europa - a new custom hood!

Welcome to Europa: a small, rural town with a rich history. With local businesses all owned by the residents, Europa has a strong sense of community and tradition.

Europa is a fully custom neighborhood, featuring:

  • 5 households! - each with their own sets of memories, bios and storytelling pictures.
  • Customized townies and NPCs! - many of whom have family connections with each other and relationships with playables.
  • Player-run businesses! - the majority of the community lots (such as a farm, restaurant, and even a church) are owned by playables, giving the hood a BACC-ish feel.
  • Plenty of drama! from affairs and unexpected pregnancies to sibling rivalries, this hood has it all. I tried to give each character a mix of good and bad qualities, with lots of room for player-interpretation.
  • Beautiful lots! - the hood has a Mediterranean vibe and lots are all landscaped, with a consistent aesthetic. Truthfully I can’t take too much credit for the nice lots, they’re modeled on Mote Vista’s buildings.
  • A Flythrough Video! - this was done by utilizing one of the maxis unused flythoughs, and is how the hood got its name.
  • No CC! - the neighborhood is entirely free of any custom content.

Special thanks go out to my playtesters - @penig, @strangetomato, @mooseabides, @grimbunnies, @questforsims, @didilysims, @dunne-ias & @girzish ! Your feedback really helped me make the hood as good as it could be :D

It’s finally here! An all-new custom neighbourhood, developed by @katatty and @moocha-muses!

Welcome to Nekojima: a small island off the coast of Takemizu, where the cats outnumber the townspeople and everyone knows how to fish.
Nekojima’s normally a quiet, cozy little place, watched over by Toomo, its resident goddess. But last year two of the island’s favorite citizens (and best fisherpeople) were lost at sea in a dangerous storm. Their families are still reeling from the blow.
Toshi Utagawa’s back in town, bringing along a baby and a slightly damaged heart. Speaking of hearts, there’s a new doctor in town that’s stolen a few. And the peace up at the ryokan’s been broken by the owners’ grandson. They can hear his guitar all the way down to the beach. We haven’t even mentioned the usual crop of summer guests! That mysterious writer doesn’t seem like she plans to head home any time soon, and some reporter’s been picking a fight with Nekojima’s only resident celebrity. He can’t be very good at his job….
It’s up to the Simmer to soothe things down - or stir them up even more!

Shout out to our playtesters, @yuka-sims, @letthemplaysims, @dunne-ias & @ejsims, too! You guys really helped make the hood as good as it could possibly be.

There’s a bit of information under the cut, along with the download link. Developer notes, required CC (just a little, we promise!), install instructions, all that good stuff. Read on & enjoy!

My hood makeovers, converted to subhoods and downtowns!

About freaking time I finally published this! I’ve been putting the project on hold for a while becausue I had bigger priorities (mainly Starship UI) but I finally pushed through and was able to convert them to subhoods. And Downtowns, too!!

These are exactly as identical to the originals, but now attachable to any neighborhood you may wish =). Just like the originals, they require ALL EPS AND SPS as this was made with the Ultimate Collection in mind.

These are all clean templates based on the ones by Meetme, plus ran through HoodChecker shortly after conversion just to be sure.

REQUIREMENT: If you’re not using Clean UI or my upcoming Starship UI, you need to download these mods by Mootilda that let multiple subhoods to be added. <3

NEW HOODS AS DISTRICTS / SUBHOODS:

Install instructions: Put in your Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Best of Business\EP3\TSData\Res\NeighborhoodTemplate folder.

NEW HOODS AS DOWNTOWNS:

WARNING: Because of stupid EAxis glitchery, ONLY THE FIRST DOWNTOWN ADDED TO A NEIGHBOURHOOD WILL HAVE SIMS ADDED WITH IT. That means that if you add Pleasantview first, and then Strangetown, Strangetown WILL NOT HAVE ANY PLAYABLES, AND YOUR HOOD WILL MOST LIKELY BE CORRUPT. Don’t be stupid!

Install instructions: Put in your -INSTALL LOCATION-\The Sims 2 Nightlife\TSData\Res\NeighborhoodTemplate folder. Make sure you take a backup of your existing template first.

Credits: @meetmetotheriver for their original clean templates which I used as a base for all hood makeovers, Mootilda (rest in peace, love) for her hood conversion tutorial, and y’all for patiently waiting for my lazy ass to do this w/o bugging it up hehe.
