Elven forest queen stuck in the body of an awkward 25 year old woman. I adore bioware games, harry potter, and making OCs. I have a degree in environmental anthropology and critical animal studies, and am applying to pursue my masters. i live vicariously through my dragon age characters ♥ current obsessions: harry potter and dragon age (always)

would like to see giancarlo esposito play a character with the same intensity and calculating ruthlessness as when he plays gus fring or moff gideon or stan edgar but instead of being a kingpin or warlord or corrupt ceo or whatever he's just a dad who gets overly competitive about school plays and pta fundraising events

Happy N7 Day, fellow Mass Effect geeks! <3

This started out as just me wanting to draw a falling Shepard, but then I added a few more characters… and then I added even more characters… and then I added pretty much almost all of the characters… whoops.

I made a full color as well as a more monochrome version because I can’t decide which I prefer. What do you think?

EDIT: This is now available on a variety of things at my Society6 Shop!

also it really takes the fear out of getting older when you realize that society has collapsed and we are no longer obligated, nor should we even be expected, to settle into Serious Adults in business suits with steady office jobs and 2.8 kids. there’s nothing to stop us from just gradually becoming more eccentric with each decade. we may not have retirement plans but we can plan to gradually evolve into the 80s van wizards our parents were too cowardly to become.

shout out to all the people who identify with gifted kid burnout syndrome who are probably just neurodivergent but werent diagnosed as a child, who used to devour books like it was nothing and never really understood why the protagonist would leave their cool fantasy world behind to go back home at the end of the story, and who are now extremely disappointed in reality and use escapism as their primary coping mechanism. how’s that bisexuality and deep-rooted anger at the school system going for you?

My dumb prediction is that it will be possible for HoF/another DAO companion, I’m guessing Zevran & Hawke/another DA2 companion, I’m guessing Merrill & Inquisitor/Dorian to appear as event-based support characters, much like the Hawke/Alistair/Loghain/Stroud cameo we had in DAI.

What I’m more concerned about is the dialogue, here’s my sad, no-nuance dialogue scenarios:

1) Solavellan Inquisitor: uwuwu pl find my princey sobble sobble im baby princess ma vhenan (cries a lot, screams an unnecessary amount for Solas when he appears)

2) Befriended Solas Inquisitor: for the good of Thedas i will kill my friend, behold my martyrdom, my sacrifice, i am so great so tragic

3) Antagonised Solas Inquisitor: fuck this shit fuck all of this just kill all the elves kamikaze everything SOLAS TOOK MY ARM IT STILL HURTS HE ALSO TALKS TOO MUCH I HATE HIM

tldr I’m hecka worried they’ll botch up the dialogue though from a technical standpoint it’s probably impossible to incorporate all our Inquisitors’ nuances but STILL. I really don’t want to encounter Seth or Lana in DA4 and have them say something so out of character.

Hahaha what does it say about the games when so few of us have faith that DA4 will be a culmination and improvement, a worthy sequel?

I'm honestly prepared for them to fuck up the inquisitor and throw them into one of a few limited boxes in terms of opinions. @thefluffynug has got it so right. I'm scared it's gonna be just like DAI where Hawke shows up and is so out of character

WHY DO YOU MAKE A RPG AND THEN DESTROY ALL THE CHOICES AND ESTABLISHED CHARACTERS NEXT GAME.

Thank god the hero of ferelden didn't get hecked up so hard. Some things are still (kind of) sacred
