Thursday evenings are for ballet and the girls love it. One of my favorite things in life is being a Mommy to two girls. What makes it even better is having them so close in age. Ava is always looking up to her big sister, and Jada is always looking out for her baby sister. Ava is the tiniest one in their ballet class, and Jada knows it. Big sister instinct is strong with this one. Jada always takes the time to make sure her sister understands what's going on and makes sure her sister isn't left behind. Last week, their instructor asked everyone to help pick up the placement dots on the floor and bring them to her. All the girls rushed out to pick them up. In the end, some had one and some had more than one, except Ava, who had nothing. Jada noticed and quickly gave one of hers to her sister just so that her sister had something to hand to their instructor, too. It was the sweetest thing. After class, their instructor asked if we can separate the girls in different back to back classes. She said Ava has no problem keeping up, but she's afraid Jada is too distracted looking out for her baby sister and wants Jada to concentrate 100% on herself. We had to say OK. So that's that.

Just saw a Snap of my kid drawing each finger on a snowman while saying "mommy, brother, sister.... baby." Thanks Finger Family Song and YouTube. 😂😓😂😓😂

Amongst a full list of things I learned in a short one-week last-minute trip to the Philippines with my Mama, the three most important have to be: - How truly blessed I am to have FAMILY. - How money will always come. - How much I fuck*n love America.

I’m making it a goal to explore one part of the SF Bay Area at least once a month.

SF is a top destination and here I am spending too much time (and money) researching and visiting other places when my home is actually everything I ever look for (surprise!). An uber driver in NY asked us why we keep coming back to NY because to him, there is nothing special about that city. I thought to myself, well that sucks - to not know anything special of your city.

So now, I’m going to find (and make) every reason why Northern California is beautiful. 👊🏼

These dolls had a blast at Frozen on Ice. On our way out, the security guard called Jada a princess and that just topped off her night of fun!

We experienced crazy negative degree weather our first night in NYC, but seeing the snow fall over the city the next day was a dream come true for me.

A few favorites from this trip: - A random Kareoke bar! - Seeing frozen water fountains! - SNOW in SoHEAUX! - Finding Neverland!! - PIZZA. (!!!) - A random Italian spot that was sooo soooo good!

I love everything about this city and can't wait to go back... Next time w/ my baby dolls for sure!

So I had this super micro pimple on my left breast a couple weeks ago and by super micro, I mean smaller than the tip of a .7mm ballpoint pen.  I'm guessing it popped in a hot shower or I scrubbed it with a loofa or something and it got infected.  I ended up taking 3 days off work and visiting the ER twice  because the super micro pimple became a huge infected HOLE in a matter of days.  Grossest thing I've ever seen/had in my life.  Also, super painful.  I was on Vicodin for a couple days which was NOT fun.  I ended up switching to ibuprofen because Vicodin made me sick.

After a week of hell, the hospital's wound care clinic placed a silver based dressing on it and covered it up for me so at least now I can shower appropriately.

I haven't been in the gym in 2 weeks!  I actually think the bacteria made it into the super micro pimple from a sports bra or something.  Lesson learned: Neosporin (or something anti-bacterial) and a band aid on all the things.  I go back to the would care clinic to get it "re-dressed" on Thursday.

Ava is sick with a runny nose, cough, and fever... but she's still running around as if she's 100%.  Hoping she gets better fast.  Fevers are scary.

Oh!  So Ava turned 2 in December and I've been trying to wean her off the bewbs.  I loved breastfeeding, but she's so big! and needy! and I just felt like it was time to stop.  She wasn't too happy, though.  She really found comfort in it... I think.  Anyway, since I was on antibiotics & pain killers I cut her off completely.  She asks to touch it (the healthy bewb), which is weird [for me], but I let her.  I actually do miss feeding her.  I miss her big round eyes looking up at me the most.

Husband and I are off to NYC with some frandz on Friday for a little love day getaway.  This might be the first time we're actually celebrating Valentine's Day?  First Valentine's Dinner, that's fa'sho... and with three other couples.  Ha!

The babes are going to spend three nights at my in-laws (if Ava is 100% by Friday).  Jada is so excited she made me pack her bags already!  So far her and her sister have one mini sized rolling luggage & one duffle each.  Over-packed much?

Joined the girls at Build-a-Bear for Jada's preschool field trip yesterday. One of her teachers stopped me and asked who I was. 🙄 I told her I'm Jada's mom. She said oh!, apologized, and said that it's just that she usually only sees Grandma. Way to kick a working mom to the curb! I should've told her I was Jada's sister for laughs. Either way, I'm still kinda sad about the whole thing.

Husband and I haven't been home before the girls' bedtime the past two nights and I really miss them.

I gave them $20 each on my way out of the house this morning.  Jada asked if it was real (they got a big set of play money for Christmas).  I thought that was funny.

They said they were going to buy $40 worth of longan today.  Why is longan $12.99 a pound?  They looked in two different stores yesterday but didn't find any.  My mom said they're going to continue their search today.

Husband and I were hoping to get off work early today to make up some lost time with our girls but I just looked at my calendar and saw I have a call at 3pm.  Boo.

We kept Jada home from school yesterday because of the crazy wind and rain.  It's enrollment time again, but I'm not too sure I want to send her back to the same school. Ava will be ready next year (maybe) so I'm thinking of a Montessori.

I need to find some motivation today.  Happy hour got the best of me last night.

Monday - 01/11/16

- Worked out 3x last week! - Shopped in Corte Madera over the wknd.  Smallest Nordstrom ever, but they had boots in both my girls' sizes so yay! - Pizza & beer at Russian River Sat. night.  No matter how healthy I'm trying to be, I don't think I'll ever say no to pizza. - Took down the girls' Christmas tree.  Now we just have to tackle taking the tree in the living room down before Wed. night for garbage day Thurs.  Christmas cleanup is def. not very fun. - Made zoodles for the first time last night.  It was surprisingly pretty good!  Spiralizing kind of sucked, though.  I think the hefty price tag for the attachment on the Kitchen Aid stand mixer might be worth it. - Getting off a 4 month stint of BC pills.  Hormones are weird.  Also, I broke out like cray.  Still debating whether to ask for a diff. brand or not.

Mines. 1. A word that dumbasses use to mean possession. Urbandictionary.com

Do not be a dumbass and do not refer to your boyfriend as mines.  When updating your twitter, do not say "going to bed w/ mines."  When posting a picture, do not caption it "me and mines."

COME ON.  Why do I know dumbass people?
