There’s this girl I sit next to in my Computer Graphic Design class, and she took my phone and saw my wallpaper which was the adorable Austin Carlile. She said who the fuck is this, and why is he covered in tattoos? I told her who he was, and that why he was covered in tattoos was just who he was. She looked at me and said that he was a bad person because of he’s tattoos. So any comment like this I would of let go, but no this comment was made to my bandom and Austin. I then lectured her on Austin’s history. I told her about his Marfan’s disease, and how he had to deal with that and the death of his mother. I also told her about his divorce and about the cheating whore he was in love with. No one can ever say that about Austin, because he has done so much for his fans, and I can say that he has had a huge affect on my life. I love that he quotes John 10:10, which is now my favorite Bible verse. I also think that no one should judge anyone, its not worth it, and I cannot fathom why people think they have the power to tell someone that they are not worth living or that they are not beautiful or a bad person because they are covered in tattoos. Everyone has a story, listen to it. “Surprise yourself, by giving someone the chance to surprise you….” -Austin Robert Carlile

I wonder how feminists will react to this

Probably ignore it then go back to making male tears mugs and gifs

Actually this is a very common idea among feminists

It’s something feminists have been talking about for years it’s called toxic masculinity and it’s one of the common threads among the topic of ‘Patriarchy hurts men too’. If fact the first time I read about toxic masculinity was on a feminist blog.

If you actually read things feminists talk about instead of straw manning them you might know this but OH WELL

My grandpa was in a gang called the “pretty boys” and they had leather jackets with “pretty boys” studded on the back. They didn’t even do anything they just stood around and looked pretty. My only sure goal in life is to keep this legacy alive
