I got my brakes replaced on my car and now it’s almost too easy to stop. 

though, going from them being 90% gone to 100% there is kind of drastic, I guess.

Her finger scrolls through the short list of contacts on your phone– all of the numbers are of friends from the case– most of them still living in Inaba now. Surely… someone was up at this hour, right? Not here– she knew she was home alone.

She’s shaking, closing hey eyes and picking a number at random– remnants of her nightmare flood her vision, remembering the near-loss on her last day in Inaba and seeing her friends being swallowed up one by one makes her eyes snap open again, breathing labored and vision blurring– she sits up, hearing the call pick up and a sleepy voice come from the other end. Her free hand reaches up to clutch at her phone, and her voice comes out in a hushed tone.
