I’ve been binge watching the first season of You and now I wanna make an oc for it

I’m so tempted with the idea of restarting everything from scratch.
As in deleting all my posts and everything and starting again.
But using it for only my writing and edits etc. I really want to get back into my writing and I think a clean slate is what I need, but not just my tumblr, username etc everything.
Ideas please to whoever sees this post?
Reblog if you wish cancer didn't exist.

This is for you. Thanks, Hagrid.
people want updates and new fic all the time, but fail to actually show a fic writer that their time and effort is appreciated by leaving feedback or reblogging their links or rec’ing their fic.
like, we need y’all.
writers need readers bc without readers our stuff doesn’t get read or circulated. that’s our validation. we’re not getting paid. besides having the gratification of making our ideas come to fruition, the praise we receive is the only payoff.
y’all come into our inboxes asking us when we’re going to write more, or only comment to ask when the next update will be – you know how discouraging that is? that’s basically saying we’re not putting enough effort into something we do for free, for fun. it’s the opposite of supportive. it’s rude and entitled.
why do you think people stop writing? they don’t see it as worth it. they get more demands than compliments. their tremendous effort is ignored because people want instant gratification – now, now, now, more, more, more.
it’s exhausting and disheartening.
support fic writers. tell them they’re doing a good job. validate them. it works, trust me. the only reason I’ve finished some of my fics were because there were people cheering me on, telling me what they loved about the fic, sharing their excitement without expectation.
it’s not rocket science, y’all. you catch more bees with honey, you encourage writers by supporting them, not demanding more of them.
you know your worth.
do you know this feeling when you find a fanfic that is really good and the author posts their tumblr url and you follow them and then a miracle happens and they follow you back and everytime they reblog something from you you are in total fangirl mode because you see them secretly as celebrities because their fics are so darn perfect?
no offense but like…..reblog the fics you like. there is nothing more discouraging than having people read your fic without leaving kudos or any form of response. comment if you like it! send them a message! use the tags to talk about how you liked it! share the work so that others can read it too!
too often fic writers deal with people hounding them for updates, but never any feedback. end the cycle. reblog the fics you like. talk about them. share them.
So true!
Reblog this if you’re a writer with a mental illness
I need to see that there are people like me out there.
