Waah, it’s hard to say really .. I’ve been a massive fan of them since pre-debut (Peppermint Chocolate) back then it was quite easy to keep up with everything they were doing. However, after the Pink Funky era where their popularity literally exploded even I’m struggling to keep up.

I don’t think it’s a case of “Oh these are good I should stan them” or “I feel like I should stan them”. You either start watching their videos and two years later end up with all their albums, a photobook and seasonal greetings calendar, worrying what your 4 children are doing (like me). Or you just see them from time to time and think wow I really love them, watching a couple of videos about them every now and again.

If you are seriously interested in becoming a big fan I suggest you:

1. Start from the beginning

Look at their photos pre-debut (Don’t be Happy, Peppermint Chocolate) and go through the eras chronologically.

2. Learn to differentiate their voices both in songs and talking

I suggest listening to their songs while looking at the colour coded lyrics (x) 

3. Watch MMMTV, Immortal Song 2 Performances (in order)

Helps with steps 2,4

4. Familiarise yourself with their personality traits so you don’t favourite them

i.e Solar - Squirtle, loves to be centre stage, can’t deal with Moonbyul’s grease. Moonbyul -  Eager beaver, Goof ball, Greasy. Wheein - Fairy princess, Puppy, cute, Beenzino. Hwasa - lion, sexy, not that talkative on shows, Yakult.

5. MamamooTrans

They translate lots of interviews, events the girls have been at. It will help you learn more about them.

6. Vapp

Don’t start this until you’ve worked your way through to the Pink Funky era. (All their videos have subs now)!! About time if you ask me.

7. Take your time

Gradually do all the 6 steps above and before you know it you’ll be a mum/dad with 4 kids in Korea.
