“Who…?” The male mumbled under what existed of his breath, the male was just so bad by now, his legs weak. He could hardly feel his upper half by now, becoming completly numb. He could only hope what Yusei said was true and that they weren’t far away.
The male hissed in pain as it tore through his body when he tried to walk, leaning on the taller male for support as he was still trembling a bit, more so shivering from the cold nipping at his exposed skin. He looked at Yusei through his one open eye, the other closed due to the pain. “S-Sorry…..” he softly mumbled before his head began to droop.
In a few moments Judai had stumbled, before going limp, probably startling Yusei as the others vision just went completly black, the signs that he’d passed out from blood loss. It was to be expected afterall he was in terrible shape.
As they approached his bike he could feel Judai getting more and more unsteady on his feet. “Hang in there, buddy...”
Suddenly he felt the other go limp, almost pulling them both to the ground. He steadied himself and adjusted his grip on the other. Yusei frowned and got Judai of the bike so that he was seated in front of him but also facing him so he wouldn’t bump against the brunet’s injured back. He removed his jacket and draped it over Judai to protect him from the wind and possible debris. Then he grabbed out an extra helmet he kept on the bike in case Aki or Bruno ever wanted to ride with him.
A moment later they were off, speeding towards Martha’s. She would know what to do. She and the doctor would get him fixed right as rain again soon.
“Please, Judai, hang on,” he mumbled as they reached the home of his old caretaker. The middle aged woman had emerged from the house when she heard the familiar sound of Yusei’s bike. It was a treat for her whenever one of her “sons” came back for a visit, however this didn’t seem like a normal visit.
“Oh dear! I’ll go get Dr. Schmidt! You know where to take him, right?” Martha asked. Yusei nodded and she rushed back into the house.
Yusei carefully got himself and Judai free of the helmets and bike. Careful of the wounds on the brunet’s back he lifted the other off the D-Wheel and took him inside. He moved quickly through the house, avoiding the small children that were watching them curiously and took him to the back room that was typically used for treating patients and surgeries. He laid the teen on his side and moved back as Martha and the doctor came over to start checking on him.
“We’ll take it from here, dear. You can go wait in the hall,” Martha told him with a gentle smile.
“Thanks, Martha. Please, do your best to help him. He said it was from a duel with a psychic duelist,” Yusei mentioned.
“Alright. We’ll do our best,” the doctor said.
Yusei nodded and left the room. He sat on one of the small benches in the hall. Not long after he fell asleep, knowing that worrying wasn’t going to help Judai get any better and that some sleep would probably do him some good.
