The kingdoms of Derse and Prospit are very different places, divided by a mountain range and rather prejudiced against each other. When twins are born to the Dersite rulers, they form an agreement with the Prospitians: an exchange of sons and simultaneous marriages to unite the two kingdoms at last. As the children grow, however, it soon becomes plain that they are not content to let the mountains separate them for long.

That’s right! All the Betapalooza works are now up and ready for reading! At the current count, we have 31 awesome new beta kid-related works for you to look through, and it’s likely that a few more treats will be trickling in over the next few days.
If you participated, there should be a gift waiting for you! You can check your e-mail, or find it by clicking the “My Gifts” tab on your AO3 dashboard. Everybody should have something, but if there’s a problem with your gift (you don’t have one, it doesn’t fit the requirements, or it contradicts your prompts) then please e-mail us at betaplaooza@gmail.com and let us know.
Remember that the works are still anonymous for another week, so please refrain from speaking openly about your fill until next Monday.
Also, please be sure to thank the person who made your gift (or gifts!). Even if it’s not exactly what you hoped for, somebody worked hard to bring it to you, and we want to be sure that everybody’s work is appreciated.

Hey guys! Great news - all assignments have been fulfilled, whether by a pinch hit or the original gifter. This means that the collection will be going live in roughly 12 hours.
Feel free to edit your works in the meantime, and double check that everything is just right before everybody goes to see their gifts tomorrow!

OK, so most people are either done or finishing up with their fills, but maybe some of you are itching to make some more beta-kid related goodness. Luckily for you, you totally can!
We’ve opened up the requests summary, so you can take a look at the prompts that everybody wrote up for the event. If you see one that you like, feel free to make something for it! Just make sure you mark it as a gift to the original prompter and post it in the collection.
There are no minimums or limits on Betapalooza treats - do as many as you like, whenever you like.
