Tonight I banished a wave of anxiety. Instead of having a panic attack, I had moments of peace. Instead of letting it rule my night, I ruled it. I felt it, got scared of it, stopped it, and moved on. It's flickering, but not shining. It's not burning my eyes out, it's fireflies I'm walking away from. My breath slays. I slay. Next time, it won't be as scary and I won't feel as powerless. Next time, and next time, and next time, I will win.
you think you want me to shut up? i have to listen to myself even when im not talking

So a word that we should associate with Scorpio a lot more is passion. And we tend to use a lot of indirect terms when describing Scorpio - you know, ‘obsessive’, ‘emotional’, ‘controlling’, ‘intense’. But there is a light in the Scorpio’s eyes that is ignited by passion and driven by devotion. I wasn’t surprised to find Gordon Ramsay to be a natal Scorpio Sun. Sure, he gets angry. Verbal. Intimidating. Sometimes scary. But he does this out of love. And every Scorpio has their niche, the interest, hobby, or career they absolutely pour their hearts and their souls into. If you stand in the way, or fail to show it the respect they think it deserves, the emotions will erupt from a very tender spot, a spot of absolute love. This is why we get themes of extremism with Scorpios. I know Scorpios who are either devoutly spiritual with a very intimate, transcending communion with ‘God’ who are whole heatedly convinced and fervent in their admission a higher reality exists. And yet I also know Scorpios who are unwavering atheists, passionate in their love of science and physics. They spend countless hours in solitude refining their skills, lost in research, and expanding their knowledge base. There is a sense of destiny invoked when they feel the pang of passion in their hearts. And Scorpio is all heart. If you’re lucky enough, you will be their passion. No one will ever love you or protect you as much, and no one else will be eligible to ever look at you the way that they do. -Cherry
