Guys, I am so very sorry. I wanted so much to be wooed by this episode. But I find myself so completely unimpressed, so heartbroken for this show I loved, so underwhelmed by what I saw. I was going to gif tonight because I’ve missed gifing but there’s nothing I saw that I want to gif. I’m awfully sorry for having nothing good to talk to you all about. My apologies, my loves. And my apologies to this show I love.

Well then I'm glad I'm not watching lol. It's like they're constantly changing the characters in order to match whatever plot line they want this season. You know, I like the characters, I like the actors and I liked the lore, but I can't deal with the recent seasonal arches. Maybe I'll start watching again if the writers can actually provide emotional content that A. makes sense B. isn't exactly like the emotional content of 1-2 seasons ago. Ugh. Rant over sorry.

Yep. All of this. These characters aren’t Sam and Dean anymore. I don’t recognize them at all.

Ok but also, it's like that gif with Tyra Banks where's she's screaming "I'm routing for you Tiffany." I'm routing for spn. At the beginning of the 10th season they were like "here's to 10 more seasons" and I want them to get that but lord knows I can't deal with the shit they're putting out right now. Honestly can they just kick out all of the current writers and bring in people who can actually do the job without falling back on these tired and stupid tropes.

Pretty much this.

-offers comforting hugs- I left actively watching around 9x04 and only came around for special occasions, so I totally understand your pain. Carver is like SPN's Moffat at this point; can't handle having decently written women (who aren't irredeemable bitches) around, can't handle show and character continuity, is only really good when making actual monsters, and thinks his works are the Second Coming. Although I heard Sam got self-aware this ep, so maybe he finally got the message @ SDCC?

Oh yes, he is definitely the Supernatural Moffat.

Yeah, I heard about how this was going to a season that goes back to the basics. So far, going back to the basics means chasing some kind of trite sentimentality and admitting to a selective guilt while forgoing all logic. Yay.

Where do you live cause you post about the show a couple seconds after it comes on my tv

I live on the American east coast, so I get to see pretty much all American tv shows the minute they come out.

what the actual heck it's already over. hardly anything happened.

That’s how I’ve felt about the episodes for a couple of seasons. Lots of talking, not a lot of anything actually going on. I honestly think it’s because they split the show up between too many different story lines.

I stopped watching spn in the middle of last season because I couldn't stand the (what I consider) laziness of the writers so I'm living vicariously through your liveblogging and it's great.

I literally spent the last 5 months ignoring this damn show because of Carver’s inability to write coherently or in line with the history of the Winchesters and almost didn’t watch this episode. But I love the Winchesters and I actually had a free night so I was like, what the hell? Let’s see if they can impress me.

This might be my least favorite episode ever. The stupidity is rampant.

Kindred soul, comfort me.
