Pokeprofessor-blue’s United States Pokemon League Rules
1. Each state has two cities in which there is a gym. Each year the city in which the official gym is based will alternate. Generally, the two cities will be the most populous city, and then the capital of each city.
Ex: In California, one year, the official gym in which you can get your badge for the Pokemon league will be Sacramento, and then the following year, it will change to Los Angeles.
2. In each city, the type of the gym will be the same, but the Gym Leader, and the Pokemon in his/her party will be different.
3. For a state to change types for its gym leader, one of the Gym leaders must resign or be excused from service. In this case, there will be auditions for a new Gym Leader in both cities, where the winner of the tryouts will be able to choose the type of the gym, and then there will be a second tryout for the second gym leader. This second audition is open to any trainers able to use 6 Pokemon of the type the First gym Leader has chosen.
4. Trainers may not obtain badges from the same Regional league 3 years in a row, as this will most likely have them battling the same Gym Leader twice, giving them an advantage.
5. Trainers may obtain badges from other Regional leagues as long as it is not of the same type Gym Badge as one the trainer has received from their original Regional League
6. No two gyms in the same region are able to specialize in the same type.
7. At the end of the year, there will be a regional tournament for all the trainers who have obtained 8/10 badges from their regional gyms.
8. All trainers who obtain 10/10 gym badges will be able to skip the first round of the tournament, and be put into a higher seed.
9. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place, anyone who makes it to the semi-finals, are eligible for the United States Championship tournament.
10. The United States Championship is held in four cities. The city changes between these four each year. The four cities are Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, and Houston.
