I’ll Never Smile Again
Travelled down a familiar block on my Saturday walk.
Check out this new 10-episode series on immersive theater on PBS. Not sure if this is online only or available on your TV too. Lots of familiar faces and shows. Link has a “preview/trailer” video as well as Episode 1. ENJOY!
Two Sleep No More alums are at it again creating a new duo dance piece called “The Pigeon and the Mouse” to debut in NYC in January 2020. If you can, please donate to their Indigogo. $100 will get you two tickets to the show. I know they’d be truly grateful for support from the fandom. Thanks!
Here’s a great little preview article (written by Emeri Fetzer no less!) about Erik Abbott-Main’s “COWBOY” which will premiere on Thursday and Friday. Check it out and grab your tickets here: https://boyfridaycowboy.brownpapertickets.com
Tickets are now on sale for Erik Abbott-Main’s new dance piece “COWBOY.” Dates are Thurs June 6 & Friday June 7. Ticket info below. Tickets are $20 (plus fees). I’ve been helping EAM behind the scenes and hope you can attend. Looks like it’s going to be a fun night of contemporary dance!
Last chance to make your donation count 2x! Ending at midnight tonight, a generous donor has agreed to match all contributions to our campaign. Thanks to everyone who has already helped us make it this far! Boy Friday loves you!
Have you had a chance to donate to Erik Abbott-Main’s “COWBOY” campaign yet? Now’s a great time! One of our own has offered to match ALL donations (for a limited time). So head on over to Fractured Atlas and make a pledge. Every dollar counts! Even if you can give $10 (less than a drink in the Manderley), the donation will actually be $20!!
DO IT!
Here’s an exciting new piece from Sleep No More alum Chelsea Bonosky with her partner-in-crime Adam Barruch. They are creating a site-specific dance piece for only 10 people per show. It will debut in June. Can you help support this new work? Indigogo link below with more information.
Also, still seeking support for Erik Abbott Main’s new work COWBOY
Sleep No More favorite EAM is hard at work on his next project: COWBOY! He’s hoping to premiere the evening-length piece this May or June in NYC. He’s raising funds for some upcoming residencies and rehearsals. I know he’d love the support from the SNM fandom. See link below to contribute what you can. EVERY. DOLLAR. COUNTS. Please help support this new dance piece. And if you’re able to give $100, you’ll get first access to tickets to the premiere when they go on sale. Thanks for you help!! https://fundraising.fracturedatlas.org/boy-friday/campaigns/2506
I loved seeing these familiar faces on the Sleep No More episode of “Broad City.” As expected, it broke form from the actual show, but it was still a thrill. Hope you got a chance to see it.
This week’s episode of “Broad City” is entitled Sleep No More and looks to have been filmed at our favorite hotel! I just saw a teaser on TV but can’t find it online so enjoy these crappy photos from my TV.
Set your DVRs! Thursday March 14 at 10pm on Comedy Central!
New Sleep No More alumni project alert!!!
Throwing this out to fandom to support Bobbi Jean Smith’s new dance project which includes Jesse Kovarsky and Evan Copeland. Check out link above and throw in a few bucks if you can!
Hi! Where might one acquire a poster like the one you just posted?
The poster is sold by the McKittrick in the gift shop — the box office — after the show. It’s $35 and comes rolled. I bought a custom frame online because it’s kinda a weird size: 16” x 26”. I have heard they occasionally run out of stock but just check with them after the show. Not sure if it’s available online yet or not.
Latest wall art acquisition.
Have you bought your tickets to Tony Bordonaro’s Campfire yet? I know it’s two months away and not until after the New Year, but Tony told me it’s a “labor of love” and he wants everyone to see it. Book now! http://tonybordonaro.com/campfire
Sleep No More alum Billy Bell launches a new immersive experience debuting in January 2019—The Unbrunch. The website just launched and there are only three dates available so book with haste. I believe it’s a brunch based on Alice in Wonderland. And rumor has it that other familiar faces will be involved. Curiouser and curiouser.
