I came out of math – and I never thought it’d end. We just debuted yet we still have to go in school. I never pictured myself in this situation. My phone rang and I took it out – Sueji. I don’t know why but I didn’t feel like answering it. Most of the time when we hang around it gets awkward… I think she feels it to. I pressed the lock button on my phone so it’d stop ringing. Our new dorm wasn’t that far from school, so running for about 7 minutes continuously got me home just in time. I threw myself on my bed, dropping my bag, grabbing my phone from my pocket. Rocky didn’t know it – but his feelings were more than just your average. He thought about SueJi day and night. He was one of those that didn’t want to ruin friendships for relationships. From afar anybody would respect him for the choices he took in life. For such a young member he was quite mature but nobody took notice of this. He threw on the green hoodie MoonBin wore during the debut showcase and went outside slipping his feet inside the new pair of trainers his mother sent him as congratulatory gift.

While Rocky was outside SueJi continuously phoned him. He didn’t pick up, not by choice but he couldn’t. Rocky and Sanha returned an hour later laughing and hitting each other playfully. Jin Jin met them at the threshold and they made conversation. EunWoo was on cooking duty like he normally would have been, and for a brief moment, too quick to be considered a second – he forgot about SueJi. He made his away up the stairs slammed his back on the bed once more. He stared at the ceiling – focusing on the little grains that were painted over. He reached for his phone to feel it vibrating. Without thinking he answered the phone. “Yeobsaeyo?” He called. There was a brief silence so he moved the phone from his ear to see whose calling. He froze when he read the name. Sueji “SueJi – I’m really sorry” He apologised for the tenth time already. “It’s fine” she answered. From the tone of her voice rocky interpreted it as stern.
“Can we meet?” He asked. He immediately regretted what he said. But he had to make up with her. He can’t just leave her hanging like that.
“Sure. The park outside you’re in 5?” She answered. The phone was immediately put down. Rocky instantly got up from his bed and stared at himself in the mirror. With the back of his hands he wiped away his tears. He washed his face in a dash and slapped on some moisturiser. He put a coat on top of the already thick hoodie and made his way downstairs.
SueJi was already waiting – sitting on the swings. Rocky immediately ran towards her taking off his coat. He was already shivering from the cold, but SueJi was barely wearing any layers. Just a thin top which draped over her shoulders and went down to her knees.
“How long have you been waiting?” He asked. “Not long” she replied. And with that rocky sat down on the swing next to her.
“So tell me what happened in the afternoon?” SueJi asked with a smile on her face. Her dimples popped out on both cheeks. Rocky blushed. Her smile was enough to set a man crazy. “I just overreacted” rocky said – again making the circle with his toes. Every time either one of them spoke, cold steam escaped their mouth.
“It’s actually fine” she replied. Her pause was the one that sounded like it was waiting for a response. Rocky felt it was time. He had to do this some time. “Listen SueJi. I want to ask something?” “Yeah sure – go ahead” Rocky gulped, as he prepared himself to speak out his mind.
“How comes you don’t hang around with Bin?” He asked totally abandoning what he initially wanted to talk about with her.
“I don’t know. I still like him. I mean he’s my boyfriend and everything but it seems like he doesn’t even have time for me anymore”
“Ah…” Rocky replied. Though it was only a sound he was hesitating and slight anger peeped out. Rocky’s fist tightened a little bit too.
“SueJi – I like you” he blurted out. His hands shot up to his mouth immediately as he realised what he said.
“Yeah i figured” she replied. This took rocky by surprise as he stared directly in to her eyes. “Whe-how?” His speech was mumbled. He stared back at the ground the nervousness filling him up straight to the brim. His sentence was stopped abruptly by SueJi.
Her lips were stuck to his. Her eyes were closed but rocky’s were opened. He didn’t know what just happened. Her lips were still in his. He closed his eyes for a little bit but opened them again when he realised what he was doing. He pulled away from her quickly.
“You can’t do this” he replied brushing himself up. She smiled in a seductive manner. Rocky tried his best to control himself.
“SUEJI!” They both heard a shout and looked straight ahead. It was bin standing in full training attire; sweat dripping off his forehead. His lips were tightened in a straight line and his hands looked like they would’ve swollen up because of how tight he squeezed them together.
Bin ran straight towards rocky pulling his arm off the swing handle. This made rocky stand up. “Yah hyung!” Rocky shouted out defensively. “DON’T FUCKING CALL ME THAT!” Bin screamed. This reply took both SueJi and Rocky by surprise as bin really wasn’t the type of person that would swear.
