Announcing  Sanctuary 2015.....

Is your body a temple or a playground?

Whilst all corners of the Garden worship at the altar of multisensory fun and games, Sanctuary is solely dedicated to restoring gardeners that have need of that holistic "Bloody Mary" for both their body and soul.  In fact, the four-day idyll is incomplete without time spent at this cat-napping nursery of calm. Where else can you indulge & spoil yourself this much and feel better for it? Nestled on the banks of the lake, Sanctuary is Secret Garden Party’s indulgent playground of pleasures, the place to soothe, revive and rejuvenate the body with a massage or a hot tub, imbibe fortifying juices, superfoods (or a full English) and, of course, the best Bloody Mary’s on site.

An additional area is dedicated to wellbeing therapies, where Thai, Ayurvedic or holistic massage is practised by some of the leading therapists on the circuit. There are group activities for you and your fellow playmates with beginner yoga sessions or Acro Yoga, yoga rave, 5 rhythms dance, fire walking and an assortment of meditation activities including social meditation and dance meditation.

Sanctuary is a beautiful respite from the playtime crowds and an opportunity to boost, reward and indulge.

Too dancey to be indie and too indie to be dance

This mix does what it says on the box: indie dance that's too dancey to be indie and too indie to be dance. Think of it as a tribute to DFA Records' motto, "too old to be new, too new to be classic." Or singer songwriter Dave Warner's quip that he was "too straight for the hips and too hip for the straights." Or brunch, which is totally "too breakfasty to be lunch and lunchy to be breakfast." Just please don't compare this mix to three quarter length pants. Because "too short to be longs and too long to be shorts" is never a good look.

This mix includes remixes of classics like Love is in the Air (Milk & Sugar remix), through to underrated gems like Senor Coconut's acid-reggaeton cover of a track by Japanese synth pop band Yellow Magic Orchestra. Also be sure to check out Canberra duo Peking Duk's track Love the Way You Love, which has been getting a workout at festivals both locally and overseas and has a film clip that's been racking up Youtube plays a plenty.

Canada Ski Season 2012/13

Ever fancied doing a ski season? Check out Jack's video taken using his GOPRO to get an idea of the immense fun you could be having.

Some amazing shots, both action and scenic, so if you've ever dreamt of saying "Sod it!" to the 9-5 and taking to the more off the cuff career, have a watch and see if the this video doesn't just push you over the edge.

If your into skiing/snowboarding or not it’s definitely worth a watch and the sound tracks not half bad either.

Eastern Electrics Festival

With Eastern Electrics festival on the horizon it seems apt to discus the mammoth line-up with headline act still to be announced! oooomph!!

An absolute who's who of underground tech-house artists and labels, my only wish is that it was spread over the weekend to give us a chance to see everyone.

Seeing as though it's not spread over the weekend, lets take a look at some hot picks to make sure you get a groove on to. Nobody wants to stay at the main stage all day. Although the prospect of Jamie Jones, Maceo Plex and Damian Lazarus is very tempting!

Julio Bashmore with his recent tuaaane - Au Seve, will surely be one to see on at Black Atlantic. Groove on over to 2020 Vision with Huxley and his latest release - Let It Go.

Miguel Campbell will be one to see after having numerous releases on Hot Creations. Even if its just for an oggle, the russian mistress Nina Kraviz will be laying it down in the Krankbrothers arena.

Last but not least Return to the Future will see Infinity Ink et al play back to back with the Trix guys.

According to Eastern Electrics email that was sent out today, the tickets are due to sell out imminently. So if you've not got your ticket, firstly why?! and secondly get on that shiz!!

Track Submission

Hey.

I'm an electronic singer/songwriter called Jesse Sarr, trying to keep things on the light side. I like to tell stories backed by synths and beats. The result can be heard in my new dub inspired track "Step" at http://soundcloud.com/jessesarr/jesse-sarr-step . I'm a little bit of folk and a little bit of dance and a little bit more of a lot of things. I'm happy to include a download link.

Best, Jesse
