not people acting like the possibly of some stranger things characters being queer is unrealistic, when the show’s name is literally stranger things. it’s about a group of underdogs trying to fit in, out-casters looking in, being into interests seemed as ‘nerdy’ or ‘inappropriate’ by society. all the characters are ‘strange’ in one way or another, and are dealing with trauma that cannot be seen on a surface level or by anyone else besides each other. half a group of friends turning out to be queer isn’t actually that rare. especially for this group of people who are all about being and going against what is deemed as ‘normal’, of-fucking-course some of them can be queer
