❛ IT’S SOMEHOW NICE to see someone who doesn’t pigeonhole me with my caliber of knowledge just because i’m asian. ❜ smile widened along with the sweet whisk of laughter, finding it rather atrocious that yue had been used to careless remarks regarding her ethnicity. status of a child prodigy barely resurfaced as a matter of interest since yue garnered the title of med department’s head. documents shuffled in her arms, heels clicking as the doctor guided the other to the testing chambers. ❛ well, i’m very sure that you’re capable of surprising me. as long as that doesn’t involve breaking the equipment we just developed, then i won’t be upset. ❜

“And how far along is that?” Gareth was not a frequent visitor to Swordsman, though he did frequent the East Asian territories more than his fellow operatives. BROW QUIRKED, slight smirk forming at her words. had she truly been around and he simply not noticed her? tsk. he almost wanted to chastise himself for being so oblivious. then again he had been busy with other matters. “do i strike you as the shy type?” he questioned, amusement clear before continuing, “i’ve actually been here on business. it hasn’t left me much time for leisure.” his answer was truthful but still didn’t give away any details of what he’d been dealing in. then again, what were the chances this stranger cared about who was buying what. one of the reasons he loved doing business in this part of the world so far was that there were far fewer hoops to jump through than in others. “are we friends then, mei?” he teased, “i’m ares. it’s a pleasure.”
