Society, including most trans women, views trans women who have had bottom surgery not as possessing a vagina, but as castrated, a true female eunnch…society insists that she must not have a sexual organ. Often this is reinforced by fantastical imagined imagery of trans women walking around with permanent bleeding wounds that the body cannot close or repair, that they stab open nightly. Society imagines trans women who’ve had bottom surgery as body horror movie monsters, because society refuses to accept that trans women can enjoy the vaginal joy and pleasure that eludes so many cis women.

i'm not invested in "harry potter was never good" conversations because it doesn't matter if it's good or not. quality does not positively correlate with socio-political praxis. it could be a really good piece of art, but if it's still supporting a vocal proponent of transmisogyny and transphobia, i don't give a shit. harry potter good or bad, who cares, its success is unambiguiously providing financial and social capital for a morally despicable person.
