Yeah, I hardly post on Tumblr anymore

I lost interest for Tumblr years ago due to the fact I followed a ton of random stuff and I didn’t feel like cleaning up, so yeah. I’m unlikely to get hit by the new NSFW rule, but eh, everyone knows everyone goes on Tumblr for that.

While everyone is moving away out of frustration, here’s where to find me and follow me there:

Life update.

Well. I didn’t blogged that much in the past year or two on this toasters dot rocks blog, for some reason. My Tumblr timeline was looking like a disaster. Kinda like Facebook, actually, but that’s another kind of disaster. Oh well. I probably should blog a bit more and publish some texts I usually just condense in 280 characters on Twitter. Kind of a diary.

So yeah. A ton of stuff happened since then, in the past year or two. Dropped school, got a job in web development and now I’m working on a rather big project with a bunch of friends related to podcasts and content creators. (BTW, I’ll let you know when it’s ready :)) So yeah, after being generally terrible in college and having stayed way too long there, thanks to a Youtuber, podcaster and entrepreneur friend, I’m now in a situation one could just dream of. You might want to get all of the diplomas to get far in life, but if you’re creative enough, you don’t need to... Anyway, I can’t wait to see this project taking off, cause it’s a pretty good concept overall, it just needs a lot of thinking and challenges to overcome.

I’ve also been thinking a lot of my pet project, Zarmina, it’s also a project I wanna see done, I worked quite a bit on it lately, I finished the script for a demo, but I prefer putting the time on this other project since, well, this pays my bills :)

Anyway, can’t wait what live is gonna give me next, who knows?

Reminder: Friendship is still magic

You probably heard of the Québec City shooting, a horrible and foolish act that took place on Sunday night in a Muslim mosque about 15 minutes drive from the MLP Quebec headquarters... Of course I need to talk about it, not only because it’s in my home, but also because My Little Pony and its fans taught us friendship, compassion, mutual assistance between unicorns, pegasus, earth ponies, or in real life, Christians, Muslims, Jews, whites and blacks, the left and the right, name it... The Canadian and Québécois government and many people emphasize these values, something I totally respect. Still, many people ignore them, advocating xenophobia in response to the climate of terror in which we currently live. Because the terrorist threat is real, the only way to remedy it is to welcome these immigrants, refugees and all those who are not like us, even those who do not think like us and condemn any opposite action…

We offer our condolences to the families of the victims of the Islamic Center of Québec City shooting and to the entire Québec Muslim community. In the same vein, you can give to MLP Québec so that the site remains online, the link is in the bar to the right of the home page (author’s note: better link here), this month’s profits if any will go to the Islamic Center and the victims.

How to tell your AdBlock users to disable it like a boss

Boy, I don’t use Tumblr very often nowadays. Well, I wanted to write this article because, first of all, I hate ads and I know everyone else hates ads, myself I have uBlock with the anti-AdBlock killer on, but I also know people depends on it to make some good internet money and they want to do everything so their users can see the ads, even going as far as blocking the site's content unless AdBlock is disabled... I have reasons to believe you'd piss these users off instead. I want to help fellow webmasters into making a better Internet, so this article attempts to show a way to have ads on and keep your users the most diligent way possible. Here goes the long post...

That flashback in MLP S06E23 #MLPSeason6 (spoilers)

Well, we saw a likely teenage Applejack in this episode. And no, we didn't saw Applebloom nor her parents in that flashback. We probably have a bunch of theories about that, maybe the parents were simply out, maybe at the hospital to give birth to Applebloom. The hospital scene would probably be a good time to see them in that case, but we didn't, as far as I know. Or they were just too busy to care of her in some place we never saw, like the bedroom. (Taking care of a kid takes time off the farm, you know.) Maybe they were already dead and Applebloom is a result of teenage pregnancy at some point after that flashback, with AJ is her true mom, but she adopted her as her sister so no one would suspect a thing. Or suspect less things, at least. (Of course, the show definitely wouldn't show that, but we were at least confirmed the parents were dead.) We don't know, could be anything.

Is it me or if you enable the blog colors for posts on, the text posts with a bunch of people adding something in look like those gender/sexuality pride flags?

The MLP Fan Remake

Yeah, wondered if I should announce it now... Eh, all my documents are ready, so why not. Here we go.

Are you good at creating animations? Well, this is for you! The goal here is to remake the first episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, shot by shot, as a giant collab between pony animators. It would be a really nice thank you for all those 6 years of ponies, am I right? Why yes of course. There's about 325 shots in the episode, so let's remake them in 325 different styles! So of course, we'll need as many animators and artists as possible. We already have a few big names of the fandom interested in the project, such as MegamanHxH and Minty Root to name a few, so why not join them?
