“No kidding,” Dick agrees, considering the situation carefully. “The specs of the building show a smoke vent at the top.” Dick gestures toward the roof of the building, smothered in the night’s gloom. “If it’s standard, one of us should be able to infiltrate through there. “ That had been his original plan, but now that there’s two of them, it’ll be easier to get in. “One of us should draw as much attention as possible. Distract them until the one infiltrating can get inside and nab the hostages.” Dick glances to Wally. “You can get them out far faster than I could.”
That would work nicely, Wally zipping people out while the door’s unguarded. That is, if Dick can manage not to get himself killed, but he’s fought more conniving villains than human traffickers in his youth, so distracting these goons shouldn’t prove too difficult.
He hopes.
“I think we both agree that the most important thing is getting the hostages evacuated. After they’re off the premises, then we can deal with the cartel. “ It is odd, though. Dick hadn’t quite been able to figure out exactly who they were selling these hostages to. He wonders if there’s something larger going on, but at the moment, he’ll take a small victory where he can get it.
Wally listened and watched the building at the same time, picturing it all in his head. He nodded here and there but otherwise let Dick talk. Until he was done.
When Dick was done, Wally suddenly zipped over the roof to look at each direction from there, before coming back to Dick. “Yeah…it sounds good to me. At first I thought the vent sounded more like your style but I can get them out faster,” here Wally nodded to himself.
“How about I get them over there,” with that he pointed to the back of the building they were on. “It’s out of the way of potential fire and secluded enough that no one else is around there. At least I didn’t see anyone there. When I’m done getting everyone out I’ll join you to tie them all up.” Smiling, despite the grim situation, at Dick, Wally waited for the other’s approval.
Though he knew that it shouldn’t be a problem at all.
“Sounds like a plan.” Dick agrees, taking another quick survey of the men below. There are only four outside, but surely when he starts causing a fuss, there will be more who emerge. He can’t help but think that they’ve done a good job reversing their usual roles, but this is solid. Wally definitely can get the hostages out faster than Dick could, and the more lives they save the better he’ll sleep at night. “I’ll see you in ten.” Dick flashes his companion a devilish smile before he unclips a smokescreen from his belt and tosses it to the door below. It blows up into a cloud of milky white, completely shrouding the scene.
Dick descends from the roof, cable snapping taut as the hero shoves his foot into the face of a guard. The man falls to the ground without a sign, out cold. He flips to the other, knocking him in the temple for a K.O. Shouts emerge from inside the warehouse as their plan begins to unfold. He makes quick, similar work of the other two guards before he shoots another cable at the nearby building. A man emerges with a loaded rifle quickly after the hero’s departure. Dick’s jovial laughter at the man’s abject annoyance can be heard echoing down the alley. Gunshot echoes ricochet down the alley as the man aims for Nightwing’s ascending figure, but the hero is always a few seconds ahead of him. A handful of men follow the first man’s suit, eyeing Dick’s form on a nearby balcony.
He dodges the bullets with expert precision, suddenly grateful for all that acrobatic training he’d had as a child. He hopes the distraction lasts long enough for Wally to nab the hostages. In the meantime, he does his best to take down as many mobsters as he can from a long range, weaving through the lot with the precision of someone who’d memorized the blueprints before coming.
I’m short on threads rn, if you’d like me to write you a starter please like this post!

“A really big one,” Wally scoffed amused and zipped besides Dick, like the other motioned him to. Imitating the other’s pose, Wally looked down at the shady business down there and nodded.
“I’ve gotten a tip about this but I hadn’t known it would be traffickers. Nasty business. We can’t let them get away from this longer than this night. Who knows where these people might end up,” he murmured somewhat and scratched his chin. “Though your presence changes a few things…do you have a plan?”
Because he hadn’t made up his mind on how to go about it. Wally was flexible enough to follow someone else’s plan.

Wally had gotten a tip that there was going to be something big tonight. Something that could end badly if he wouldn’t so up.
So he made the preparations and what not and waited anxiously for the time to arrive. He would’ve gladly shown up there and waited for everyone else to arrive but that might warn them off and take with them the hostages. Or whatever it is they had.
Hostages seemed pretty much what it was however. So he better threat with care.
Which was why he searched out the buildings around it, only to stumble upon a figure on the roof. “Wait..Nightwing?!
Nightwing notices the other man only by the disturbance in atmosphere, knowing that with that kind of presence, it couldn’t be any regular human. He begins to turn and prepare to defend himself, but the man speaks before he even gets the chance to grab for an escrima stick.
Dick’s lip twitch ever so slightly to a smile at the familiar voice, relieved that it’s not an enemy who’s found him.
“Surprise, surprise,” he replies jovially to the other hero, happy to at least have backup in this operation. It looks like it might be something big, and while he has infiltrated enemy bases before on his own, it always eases his anxiety to have someone keeping an eye on the situation with him. For years he’d had Batman, and then the Titans, but anymore it’s just him. To have this kind of company on a mission again would be refreshing. Nightwing motions for the man to join his squatting position on the roof, pointing discreetly down at the lit warehouse below them.
“I’ve tracked them all the way from Bludhaven. Whoever these people are, they have massive connections.” And likely, very big and important buyers to boot.
@flashgotthis
Sometimes, the suit takes him far far out of his realm. Bludhaven is full of it’s own breed of criminal, but in truth a lot of those people migrate from place to place. He’d been tracking down a certain gang of gunrunners, and after he’d infiltrated their base of operations he’d made a quite disturbing discovery. Their main operations wasn’t in his city. And guns weren’t the only thing they were running.
Nightwing doesn’t usually make appearances outside of Gotham or Bludhaven, but sometimes exceptions are called for. He doesn’t like to step on local hero’s toes, either, but he can’t just let a lead die once they leave his vicinity. So here he is, on a rooftop in Central City, spying down on a large warehouse with too many goons to count constantly going in and out. He isn’t sure how he’s going to approach this situation quite yet. He’s still getting used to the whole “solo” thing after all. Even if he’d been separated from Batman for a while, he’d still roll with the Titans on occasion, and quite frankly that doesn’t leave him working in solitude very often. He crouches lower as a man pushes a woman inside the warehouse.
This is worse than he first envisioned.
Hey guys! I’m trying to reboot my blog. If you would like a starter, please like this post!
Send me a “旦” If our muses haven’t interacted yet and but you want us to change that.
((LAUGHS 8000 years later I get back on this blog. Shoot me up for a thread if you still want one? I'm totally down for it!))
She cocks an eyebrow, "In your dreams, boy wonder."
My muse has accidentally said or done something very sexually suggestive without realizing it, how does your muse react? What do they do?
Dick raises his eyebrows in confusion - not realizing the implications of the fact he'd asked if she needed a change of clothes seeing as hers had been drenched on their hell of an adventure home. He stares at her in bewilderment for a long moment, her comment not making much sense to him. But it's clear after a couple of seconds, and his eyes widen in exasperation and perhaps a bit of embarrassment.
"Wh- seriously? You honestly don't think I meant it like that, did you?"
Hey so. Guess it's inevitable I get back on here, huh? I went on hiatus for a long time, but I'm gonna reboot the blog now. I'm just gonna say I don't remember shit that was happening on here before I left in very much detail. There were a lot, as I recall, and so for the ease of simplicity I will say I'm just going to drop all the threads I had been previously on and we're gonna make a fresh, brand new start!
Anywhoo.... there won't be a lot of blogging tonight, because my other muse turntechtimegoddess also is being rebooted presently. Feel free to go over there and interact with that one too - she's a flexible muse and can end up in almost any universe with a little tweaking.
Anyway....so HEY GUYS I MISSED ALL YALL
