Peder Mørk Mønsted - how snowy can snowscapes get?
i love paintings that look as if they have ghosts in them
this painting by andrew wyeth has got SO many ghosts in it. most andrew wyeth paintings have ghosts in, but this is off the scale!
this painting by dragan bibin has only one ghost as far as i can tell, but it's a really scary ghost (the dog thinks so too)
this painting by meraud guevara looks very peaceful, but unfortunately it has a ghost in it. i can't tell you where, but it does
you might think you can see the ghosts in this dorothea tanning painting, but you're wrong. the little girls are just ordinary girls. the actual ghost is behind one of those doors.
marvin cone. for fucks sake just look at it

I like watching journaling videos. It's very calming to watch people tear paper, and compose little artsy pages with washi tape and stickers. But it's really disheartening to see more and more stationery is made by Al. As if there's not enough beautiful things made by humans.
I saw a video where a person bought a set of stickers and she liked it so much she scanned one piece and used Al to make a bigger, slightly different version of the image and then printed it to use it. Someone in the comments noticed that it sucks to feed creative human labour to the machine and it's not fair to the artist. What that person in the comments didn't know and I noticed was... the sticker set was made with Al and the used image was generated by a machine in the first place. It was so ironic. But also really sad.
It's sad we stopped caring for little things, don't notice tiny details, don't appreciate the precision and heart put into things. We ignore the rock in our shoes not understanding our foot will soon start to bleed. We want everything and we want it now. And these days everything is just quantity over quality. Clothes made of plastic fall apart, food is filler and antibiotics, detergents are rubbish. And it all costs double. Because we let it pass and because people are greedy. And things made with care start to disappear and it's super fucking tragic.

freaky fungi fact - mycology vocab :-)
deliquescence : the process of certain fungi (most often ink caps) where they turn to liquid.
this process is observed in a handful of different fungi !! as their caps mature, they furl inward & turn to a spore-filled, inky liquid.
yes, this liquid can be harvested & used for actual pen ink. :-) just make sure to add preservatives to avoid it causing a rotten smell.
to use it in a sentence : the mushrooms above are experiencing deliquescence ; they are deliquescing !! ink caps are deliquescent.
