help me finally end a year of homelessness

(and begin moving out of an abusive parental relationship)

so i’ve been homeless for an entire year now and also stuck in an abusive parental relationship with my mom. after bouncing around from family member, house to house, unable to keep a stable job because my mom causes trouble everytime we try and live somewhere and now almost none of my family will allow us to stay with them, and now we’re at the home of where my stepdad is staying and things are tense because they want us out but aren’t rude enough to literally kick us out. after reaching my final straw and wanting to separate myself and go to my grandparents without her, she caused a scene and threatened violence which would eventually involve the police, something my family (who are black) are trying to avoid for clear reasons. fact of the matter is i’m basically being held hostage regardless of the fact that i’m a legal adult, and any attempt to leave has been met with belittling me and my opinions until we find our own place where i can actually move out with no limitations. we’ve found some apartments, but we need to come up with a security deposit asap. because we dont have the greatest tenant history, we need a full deposit which will come up somewhere around 1k/2k (2k to move in within the next two weeks or so, around 1k for july move in)

. ive made so many of these posts that i feel guilty to keep begging everytime but i’ve lost a year of my life and health because of this and should we get kicked out (which we will), i’ll be forced to live out of my car (with no a/c) in what’s already becoming a hot summer (not to even mention high temps w/ no a/c whatsoever usually result in me getting sick). please consider helping me out n anyway possible!! as a side i am good with academics (in particular writing/editing/helping with papers) so even though i’ll have limited access, i can offer this minor service in exchange for any help, as long as it’s college level n higher.

it’s been what….six hours since i made this post and we were basically just told to leave so yeah, shit is kinda dire and highly bad timing for two people who have a uterus if you know what i mean so again! please anything at all because it’s really coming down to living out of the car for a forseeable future

6/4 - we’re living out of the car basically. what we decided to do is instead look for an apt/motel we can move in asap for two months while we work on getting money for our final move! once we do that i’ll be able to find any kind of work to help contribute so again, anything at all to help at least for temp housing would be super appreciated

6/7 - i’ve gotten about 100 from this post circulating and that has gone towards gas money and food as we try and see which family members might be able to host us for a while. we’re still struggling and after paying the bills my mom doesn’t get paid for another two weeks. i’m still trying to get in contact with my grandparents but we’re running out of gas and with little money food is going to be next. even if you can’t donate please reblog!

6/21 - i just wanna say thank you to everybody whos reblogged and been able to help. i’m happy to say we have found an apartment to move into in about a week! because the move in date is set at the exact end of the month, we need to come up with the security deposit and rent for july, which totals up around two thousand. we have about one thousand to go towards that. with my mom’s next paycheck, i can be positive that’ll grant us another 500 at least. so the remainder we need will be about 500 to cover the full amount. plus any extras will go towards having to buy food, and since we had to ditch all of our furniture with the storage debacle, it’ll towards starting furnishing at least the basics for the place while i start looking to get back to work. i’m still kinda dazed this really might be the end of all of this and i’m more desperate to see this through and finally start my life. whatever you can do, even boosting this, would be a huge blessing.

DISABLED FACECLAIM DIRECTORY by juliaroleplays

Over the past few years, the roleplaying community has  gotten better at including more PoC and LGBT muses in their groups, and while body diversity is getting there, I’ve noticed a severe absence regarding disabled characters. Therefore, I present to you a directory featuring one-hundred and five faceclaims who are disabled, have played a disabled character or has potential resources to play a disabled muse.    

This directory allows for filtering by multiple criteria such as year born, gender, disability, assertive devices and ethnicity. In addition, because many of these faceclaims don’t have resources, I’ve done my best to include shows/episodes that they appear in or link to their filmography so resources makers can spread a little love.  

If you have any suggestions for faceclaims to add or if you come across any errors, please feel free to send me a message!
