zella and luke tangled up in each other on endor, sleeping semi-peacefully for maybe three or four hours before one of zella’s squad members asks where she is; an ewok points to their hut and the pilot opens the flap, calls “commander braxion?” not loud enough for people outside to hear but loud enough to wake her, not realizing until their eyes adjust to the relative darkness of the hut and zella’s head lifts up, her eyes still groggy with sleep, that there’s someone else in the hut with her, someone with his arms around her, fingers almost clutching at her back but softer in sleep, his forehead pressed to her collarbone.

the pilot stutters, gets red in the face and manages to recover long enough to say that zella’s needed outside, but by the time they turn to go the embarrassment has been replaced by swagger, a smirk on their face, because just wait until the rest of the squadron hears about who the commander was canoodling with, because there’s only one rebel on endor dressed in black that day, and everyone in the galaxy knows his name.

alright this is one of the best ones so far

”Okay no. I am so done with this whole “Leia is the tough one who lost her planet and is being strong, but oh boo hoo poor baby Luke. He lost like three people and is a whiner.”

Yeah Luke whines. He does and I’m not denying that. But ya know what? Luke also pretty much lost his whole world in this movie.

Most of his friends were already gone by the time the movie started and then he lost his paternal figures (which is a guilt he never really gets over if you notice and that certainly doesn’t help anything in this movie) and then he loses his only other tie to anyone when Obi-wan dies.

Luke lost everyone.

And it’s not like with Leia. Leia has been dealing with this since she was so young it’s ridiculous to compare. Leia has known the costs of war and the feeling of loss. And also SHE DIDNT LOSE EVERYONE. Like she lost so many people and it’s horrific in its implications and I’m not denying that. Poor Leia who went through hell and back probably more than once. I adore her and I want her to be happy and get comforter. But Leia has friends everywhere and in the rebellion. She still has connections and people.

Luke was a farm kid who was suddenly thrown into this entire thing and lost lots of people out of nowhere. Luke has never really had to deal with this before. He’s not trained or experienced.

And so Luke clings to his new friends. He clings to those who show him kindness and affection and who go through experiences with him because they’re all he has left.

And she’s not shaking her head because of dumb Luke and his boy problems while there are important things going on. She’s shaking her head because Luke has not yet understood that you can’t force people to stay or to change. And also, she and Luke are pretty similar. She’s just as frustrated with Han’s choice to leave. He could be great and he’s taking the selfish way out.

But this is Luke we’re talking about. The moment Luke sees good in someone Luke is immediately trying to bring that good to the surface. Luke sees all this good in Han and thinks he’s made a friend and then Han decides to leave. Luke is frustrated because he knows there is lots of good in Han and why is he denying that goodness when it’s so apparent to him. And it feels like another person is just disappearing from his life.

This movie makes Luke its punching bag and he grows up. And haha it was funny at first but I’m so sick of everyone acting like Luke is this baby who doesn’t have any reason to be upset. By the time the second movie starts, we can see that Luke has obviously matured already.

You’re also denying the caring, compassionate side of Leia. Of course Leia feels bad for Luke. She’s been in Luke’s shoes and she sees all this hurting he’s going through and she feels so sorry for him. Leia comforts him because Leia is kind. You can be both strong and kind. And for all we know, comforting Luke and focusing on his feelings might help her cope. They’re brother and sister and they might not know it yet but wow these two are such siblings and I adore them.

So like, can we stop with this really obnoxious joke that Luke is this shallow guy who whines about everything?” - @tinkchick555

tfw when idiots on tumblr who know jack shit about thermo assume the dude is ‘correcting misinformation’ when actually he’s dead ass wrong. ‘Spontaneous’ is a scientific term - it means a reaction with a negative Gibb’s free energy, i.e. a reaction that will occur without an external energy input, i.e. water boiling because of low atmospheric pressure. Spontaneous is absolutely the correct term for what she’s observing, and that is ‘simple thermo’, and this is ‘correcting misinformation’.

Have a nice day.

okay. idk about the rest of the fandom bc i don’t keep up with it anymore, but i do kind of feel like glenn’s death can be attributed to daryl’s outburst.

let’s face it. if it had been any other character (let’s say eugene), people would have blamed him hard.

i love daryl but i’m ready for him to die already. glenn was the first of the originals to die since season three. sure, they’ve teased daryl’s death a lot, but since he’s a fandom favorite, they’re not going to kill him no matter how much they tease it.
