Haruhi fujioka really is the character ever. Going by any pronouns in 2006. Big beautiful brown eyes like a baby cow. Constant deadpan delivery. Getting bitches constantly. Reacts to romantic advances with a thousand-yard goldfish stare. Perfect flawless protagonist 10/10

neil and jean are the same but in different directions

neil works so fucking hard for exy and he works himself to the bone to be the best because to him exy is life and death; he’ll die anyways, so he might as well go out being the best

jean just expects himself to be the best because otherwise he will die at riko’s hands or his opponents; exy has always been life and death for him. when he inevitably trips up because he is human, he braces himself for the inevitable death waiting for him

"The Time of Fever" ('Unintentional Love Story' spinoff about Donghee and Hotae) will be shown in Korean cinema first on May 15th?!

I hope they'll release it online BUT I AM SO RUNNING TO THE CINEMAS TO WATCH IT, despite the fact that I watched ULS only recently xD I already need to know the full story between those guys and I hope for their happy ending, aaah.

Should I write review afterwards or keep everyone from spoilers?xD

“Don’t Let Them Change Us: A Bad Buddy Fanzine for Palestine” is OUT!

Don’t Let Them Change Us is a digital Bad Buddy fanzine raising money and awareness for Palestinian liberation. Check out our statement of solidarity with Palestinian liberation and actions you can take for Palestine to learn more about why we created this zine.

All zine proceeds go to We Are Not Numbers (WANN), a youth-led organization in Gaza that shares the stories behind the numbers and fights for Palestinians’ human rights, or to direct aid for their writers and their families who are suffering under Israel’s genocide.

The digital fanzine, which is now out, is a full-color PDF with 244 pages and alt text for all images, and includes:

  • 9 fanfics and 1 suite of fan poems
  • 10 full-page works of fanart, plus the cover art featured above
  • 13 smaller spot illustrations, many embedded within fanfics

Our sixteen contributors have been absolutely fantastic! We’ve been spotlighting each of them in our #contributor spotlights tag, but if you missed those, here they all are:

We’re also thrilled to share that, just through pre-orders, we’ve already raised $1,969.50 USD for WANN and direct aid for WANN writers! This fandom has come through big for WANN, allowing us to meet our stretch goal, which means we’ll be raffling off two print copies of the zine among everyone who pre-ordered. We’ll continue taking zine orders at least through the end of May – potentially longer if there is interest. And if you pre-ordered but have not yet received your copy of the zine in your email, please do email us to let us know at BadBuddyFanzine [at] gmail [dot] com.

We also hope that as you’re enjoying the zine, you’ll also keep letting folks know about it if they have not ordered themselves, and also sharing your reactions and feedback with our contributors! If you are so inclined, you can post or tweet about your reactions to the different works in the zine, which we can then share with the contributors:

  • On Tumblr, tag the contributor's blog if they have one (it'll be listed in the zine) and use the tag “#bad buddy fanzine”, but make sure you list it as one of your first five tags on the posts so that it’s more likely to show up
  • On X/Twitter, tag the contributor's account if they have one and use the hashtag #BadBuddyFanzine or tag us @/BadBuddyFanzine

Thank you again to everyone who made this happen! We are so, so grateful for everyone’s support and collaboration, and we hope that you will continue fighting for Palestine both in fandom and in all the other parts of your lives.

From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!

Your zine mods, @fiercynn and @sciencebluefeelings

These two are the most aching, damaged and hurting young men who are trying so desperately to be themselves and one is trying to be a good son by a man ruining his life and the other is trying desperately to escape an abusive father and they found each other years ago and hurt each other and now they're mostly just hurting themselves trying to live.

They care about each other so much but they're both hurt and damaged and broken and it makes it so impossible for them to care about themselves or see the other person caring. And that aches. They're both so hurt and so broken by their fathers that they have come to believe in a world that will not take care of them, a world that will not care about them at all, and it does not matter if they love or care because nothing is ever given back to them.

I cannot describe how fucked up this relationship is. Like, Dad is constantly living past his means to impress the rest of the world and making his son clean up and pay for him and he calls that one mistake and then he gets upset that his son, in a society of filial piety, in a society where he felt so desperate that he had to impress everyone around, did not simply tell him he was tired? Expecting that makes no sense. I am proud of the boy for calling the police, though. That took so much work to do it.

This poor boy. He's doing so much and working so hard and he gets nothing in return, nothing but blame and anger and an abusive father using him and blaming him for literally being used by him. He deserves to be rescued.

They rescue each other, no matter how much they're hurting and that's beautiful even if they're exhausted and aching and always lashing out.

This poor man. He's trying so hard and he's been trying so hard for so long and it's never helped, it's never done anything for him, it's left him alone and cold and exhausted and with nothing but emptiness inside.

The choice. This is the choice. Be tried. Or fake it. You can't try to do both, you can't accept your exhaustion but also expect people to act like you're okay when you say things or show your exhaustion to them. But they also can't help you if you only act like you're okay.

What a note to end the episode on. Nothing is fixed, nothing is done but at least something has been said.

- Just say if you're tired. If you want to act like you're fine, then pretend properly. I can see everything on your face.
- ...Actually, I'm not doing fine. I'm very tired.
- Well done.

Gray Shelter / Gray Current just has that suffocating vibe overall. From lonely shots and slow-paced editing to sorrowful music and voices that aren't cleanly recorded but blend in the dirty sounds of surroundings. There isn't a certain plot, their dialogues are raw, bitter and unsatisfying, you don't know where the story will take you but it's not about you or any viewer. It's about them.

When characters who have bitter feelings and resentment towards another still show that they care - it's just hits differently. Yoondae and Soohyuk both have complicated feelings, lots of burden on their shoulders, hard life, unloving parents and difficult bond. And it's so fascinating to watch them experience this tug of war.

This show feels like a glimpse in a diary of depressed person. You want to inhale and exhale but you're too tired to be breathing. And they barely have the energy too, yet they still crave someone who would care. You're taking a sneak peek into a love story that is supposed to bloom between two men who happened to be connected against their will, and yet, the path to it is not made of flowers but stones, and they hurt to step on without your shoes.

What an art, and I wish we got more than 8 episodes, I need to know what made those characters them and how will they bear it. But I do recommend it to people who love non-sugary Kdrama/BL vibes.

So... I found this and now it keeps coming to mind. You hear about "life-changing writing advice" all the time and usually its really not—but honestly this is it man.

I'm going to try it.

I love the lawyer metaphor, because whenever I see “John knew that...” in prose writing I immediately think “how?  How does he know it?”  Interrogate your witnesses.  Cross-examine them.  Make them explain their reasoning.  It pays dividends.

All of this, but also feels/felt. My editor has forbidden me from using those and it’s forced me to stretch my skills.

This is your "show not tell" advice explained!

Not Me really went:

Let’s teach people how to deal with tear gas, the importance of covering your face when doing acts of protest, registering your name at a protest, the importance of marriage equality and its equation with basic human rights and how the oppression of one group of people effects all citizens. Oh and btw it’s a BL
