Bland Marvel Headcanons

SUBMISSIONS: OPEN Rules || FAQS Welcome to Bland Marvel Headcanons. Your source for all the bland, boring, and downright dull thoughts about the Marvel Universe. Is Nick Fury lactose intolerant? Thor prefer chocolate pop-tarts? Does Clint Barton wear stripey toe socks on missions? Your boring thoughts about Marvel and its characters are exactly what's wanted. So submit a bland headcanon through an ask or submit. Go easy on the chat speak when you do. If you have any question check the FAQs Blog Operated by a skrull and a Doombot who are in no way affiliated with Marvel, much to our disappointment. Now with an added Kree and Sentinel.

To the admins: This blog has brought me so much joy and laughter. You and all of the other followers who have helped you to make this blog possible have never ceased to brighten my day whenever I saw the posts. I know that this blog is closing, but I want to thank you all. This blog has inspired me to write about some of my favorite characters and come up with headcannons of my own when I have no inspiration. So again, thank you for always being there. You will be missed dearly. -Everyone

To answer a few recurring questions:

Yes, the blog will remain up. It just won't be updated and the inbox will be closed.

No, I will not hand over this blog to someone else and a lot of it comes down to the fact that this is my blog. It follows a standard I put forth and I frankly don't want anything that started with me becoming something I couldn't stand by under the helm of someone else. Call it vanity, I don't care.

So happy holidays. And hope you all have a good 2k15.

Well, it's been a fun enough run, but come January 1st, this blog will be shutting down. Not many of admins have the time for it and frankly, I, the creator, no longer enjoy it. And I have always maintained the fact that when it stops being enjoyable, this blog would cease to be. So perhaps I will queue up the last of the stuff in the inbox, perhaps not. Either way, that's all.

So I checked out that "Heimdall knows about the fourth wall" thing. It was a headcanon post. The person asking about it does not understand that headcanons are non canonical. And this is the only one they're questioning. Which means they think took all the other ones as canon without questioning.

Loud shrugging noises. Hopefully they understand now?

like, i appreciate that y'all have the faq and all, and that y'all put effort into it, but seriously. put it in a bigger font because i cannot comprehend anything that's written on there, because it's written in a font the size of my ass. (i.e it's small as frick and i can't read none of it)

Hey, speaking of your ass and how lazy it is, why not just increase the size of the font by zooming the page. Or, I know, how about you just click the view button up by the unfollow link and look at the original post.

You know, if you wanted to do something other than bitch to people who give not a single fuck about your problem.

i dont think that last ask was asking you to do research, i think they just wanted to check what you are and arent ok with

Here's the thing: any vague potential crossover based off something someone might've heard is asking us to do research into whether or not that fact is actually true and then come to them with a yes or no answer.

So if you want to know if something is true google it. If you are unsure of something, google it. Then when you have a solid answer, you come to us and ask a question based on that newly acquired information.

ok so spiderman has a canon crossover with batman and superman that makes had canons with them in it exeptable right?

Nope. The days of DC and Marvel's kindness toward each other are like the days of kindness between the elves and dwarves: FUCKING OVER WITH.

Tolkein jokes aside though, yeah no. Just because Batman appears in a Marvel comic, does not make them Marvel. They will forever be DC and DC will forever be a no go. Unless you find a loophole, but that's on you.

I don't know why more people don't read your FAQ. It's hilarious and clever and as awesome as everything else you do :D (Especially number 7. I love number 7.) Anyway, you are wonderful, please keep doing what you're doing and (if it's not too forward) I LOVE YOU :D

They should read the FAQs more because I put a lot of effort into that and because number 7 is true and works for both the MCU and the 616. Everyone is James.

I heard that the amalgam universe is part of the marvel multiverse. Does that mean headcanons with amalgam characters are allowed?

Prove it to us and we'll talk, but other than that I am not personally going out of my way to search up answers for people. I do enough of that at work.

Quick Q. Is it okay if I use these headcannons as fodder for some of my longer fanfics? Just to fill in gaps and stuff? What about one-shots and stuff like that? And credits? Gawd I'm rambling. Sorry. I just really like some of this stuff.

Yeah, absolutely! If it's a fic based on the headcanon, I'd suggest crediting the headcanon and putting a link to it in the beginning; if it's just a small mention in the body of a bigger fic, maybe a small note and link at the end of the chapter or work.

Hey, I have a question- I don't have a tumblr blog, but I do write fanfic and post them on archiveofourown. Can I publish fics based on BMHeadcanons there, as long as I still tag them BMHFanworks? Or would you prefer to limit them to the tumblr sphere? Also, I wanted to say - great blog! You guys do an awesome job running it.

Aw man, go right ahead! Far be it from us to limit creative works. If you do that, maybe send us a link through the submit so we can see it there!

I'm curious about the source for the post saying that Heimdall knows about the fourth wall. What comic/issue was it in?

Are you talking about a red image post? Because if so:

Nothing in the headcanon posts are in the canon. If it wasn't in a headcanon post, please explain a bit more?
